Well due to my DH's job he is not able to join us this trip. He has been saying for months that he didn't mind of we went and took my mom and now he is feeling a little left out. While he like Disney he isn't the nut that I am ( at least he would never admit it).

I was thinking this mroning maybe I could leave him diffrent things for diffrent days, or send out diffrent ecards or something , any idea I can think of while we are gone.

Kinda so he can semi "play along" from home ?!

Does that make any sense ? I am not taking my laptop on this trip and email is AOL and Gmail so I am not sure I can "schedule" an email to go out in the future ?

Does anyone have any good ideas ?! Thanks !! :wizard:

I would definatly go to Epcot in the Imagination exhibit after you exit the ride and send him an e-mail from there. You can snap a picture of everyone and type him a message to send. We do this EVERY time we visit Epcot just to say hi to our family. Especially those living out of state! :thumbsup2

P.S. Your family looks like mine! Check out my signature!

there are many ecards taht will allow you to scheudle them for times in the future. I think american greetings and hallmark both allow it. DH travels alot and What I ahve done in the past is buy regular cards and put dates on them. I tuck them in his suitcase and he opens them on the dates i have written.

You could also do "disney's enchanted call" where you purchase a phone call made by a character - Mickey, Donald Duck, etc. - for $2.95. They follow scripts but you can customize them a little. They're really for kids but I'm doing one for my husband for the morning we leave! I think there is one in there about Being A Good Sport. If you do it, look at all the characters because their scripts and customizing options are all a little different.

When we were there last year we called my parents and gave them the code to our photo pass. Everynight they would log on and look at our pics we had taken that day. It would be a way he could see what you guys have been up to that day.

I knew you guys would think of something. These are some great ideas !

Do you have a camcorder? You could 'take him along with you', talking to the camera at times and taking video of each other throughout the parks. It's something he could look forward to when you return, along with the things you'll do to include him while you're gone. He'll know you were thinking of him all during your trip, and he might feel less as if he has missed something.

FYI, On the enchanted call options, there is one under "Congratulations" that is for Being Nice To Your Family! Would definitely qualify!

When I've had friends down there they've just called me so that I could "hear" part of Wishes or something.....

If you have a laptop, you could bring it, take pictures - download them to the laptop and send them to him! first day you're there, buy postcards, make them all out for each day you're there, place stamps on them, and mail one on your way out of the hotel everyday! Call him on the telephone a couple of times each day, and tell him what you've done, what your going to do, and give him updates on what happened while you were at, i.e. MK!!!! Before you leave home, leave notes (in his underwear, in the fridge, on the mirror in the bathroom, his car, etc.) about how much you wish he was on the trip with you!

Take a 8x10 pic of your DH with you and when you all pose for pics- have someone holding the pic of him, like he's a part of the group. When you take pics of your meals- make sure he's (the pic) there! Email those to him! Can you imagine how he'll feel if you send him a pic of you on the log at Splash Mountian with a big pic of his face sitting right next to you? He'll love it! Also- call him when you're just about to get on a ride and hold the phone out for him to hear all your comments/screams as you ride! You could also leave little packages that are Disney oriented for him to open each day you are gone.
