My brother is coming from Alaska with his family of 7 to meet us at WDW.
They want to go a few days early to stay at a beach. I suggested Daytona Beach, but he said he doesn't want to drive that far to get to WDW! I personally don't think it's that far, but....... he's not interested.

I suggested CBR, but that's not the "real" beach. Anyway, I thought maybe someone might know of a real beach near WDW that might make him happy.:confused3

He said 10 minutes away, but I don't think that's likely! Is it?

Thanks in advance,
Jill

I suggest St.Pete's beach:) it's only two hours away but in my opinion that is one of the best he's gonna get:confused3 . St, Pete's is a great beach it has amazing looking shells and has a store nearby by that sells flawless beautiful shells.:lovestruc

bye

I don't think there is a beach only 10 minutes away..at least not with an ocean. After all, WDW is in Central Florida, not on the coast.

Since he is flying all the way from Alaska I think it would be worth the drive time to see the Atlantic Ocean. If he considers Cocoa Beach, he can check out the beach and Kennedy Space Center. This site says it is only 35 miles away: http://www.space-coast.com/

Hope that helps!

:thumbsup2 We stayed at Vero Beach/Disney for a couple days one trip and absolutely loved it. Very relaxing; gorgeous, clean, and kid-friendly beach. Lots of activities to do or sit and read...whatever you want. I think it took us about 2 hours from WDW.
