I have been given the first week of Oct off.
I have been given a free airline ticket.
I have been given a free week at a friend's time share.
I have tickets left over from my last trip Nov 2002

All I need to do is get a rental car...but I can't seem to make myself follow thru!!

What's wrong with me!!

First off, start listening to Disney music. Look back on old trip pictures and head over to the trip reports board and read some reports (delwife, gopherit and kevinstringer). They are so funny and make me excited to go.

Then go to mousesavers.com and see if there are any discounts listed for a rental car. Or do a search or post the topic. I've recently seen some posts on rental cars if you look back a few pages.

We'll be there the first week too and I'm getting more and more excited everyday! See you there!

I'm in the same boat...............I just don't seem excited to be going in 3 weeks (8th - 15th). I'm stressing over money (will we have enough)......This was a much needed vacation and recomended by my husbands doctor (It was a long summer) so we decided lets take the girls and go. We booked our flight and hotel yesterday.....now for the REAL Expenses......TICKETS.
I'm not sure if its worth our while to by passes.....
Is $2000.00 US enough for a week (Me, Husband and 2 girls (3&4 years). Any tips
Thanks

again me sitting here literally leaping out of my skin I am packing already!!!

I think it's great that you're going in October. You'll be able to enjoy the Wine and Food Festival at Epcot. They also have great entertainment at the American Gardens Theater daily. Also, you might try doing some things that you haven't done on your other trip to make this one more interesting. You can book a tour or try resort hopping to see the different Disney resorts and eat in their resturants. I highly recommend stopping at the Animal Kingdom Lodge where they have their own Animal Safari and have a wonderful resturant called Boma. Breakfast at Boma's is only around $15.00 and it's all you can eat. The buffet seems to go on for miles and you can order your own specially made omlet. I don't know who all your going with but you might consider taking someone along with you that's never been to Disney World. Their enthusiasm about going will likely rub off on you. Just some ideas. I think you'll have a wonderful time!

Thanks to everyone for the replies to my first posting. I have been reading the board for a while.

I think part of my lack of excitement is that I am going alone.
Hubby can't go, Mom can't, Sissy can't :(

However, I don't really have a problem traveling alone or being at WDW alone because it is sooo wonderful!!

I do want to resort hop and eat at different places. I forgot that it is Food & Wine time at Epcot. That will interesting!!

Now, I need to get a rental car for the week....how much is a good deal? I think I will get a small car since it is just me!

Off to check rates!

Connie

Hi Connie,
We are going on Oct 8th and we paid $195.00 Canadian for a car for the week . That's a pretty good deal from up here but I'm sure rates are cheaper down there. We just didn't want to risk paying more or not getting a car once we had arrived at the airport..........Have fun, I'm starting to get excited slowly, enjoy the time alone.
