Help me get excited about POFQ

I leave in a week and I'm worried that I won't like it or that I should have gone with a deluxe-too late to change now, as we've invited my mom and her DH along.

We just returned last week from a split stay at POFQ/Swan and we absolutely loved POFQ!! We were in building 4, so we were close to everything, but I doubt there is a bad location in the resort.

The food court is very good, the pool and the pool bar are great, and it is only a short boat ride to POR for a sit down dinner.

We really liked POFQ---the view, the main lobby, the food, the theming. It is a nice moderate choice. YOu're in Disney---you'll have a ball!

We stayed in the POFQ the end of June and it is a great resort! The themeing is great, and since the resort is smaller everything is so convenient.
It has been recently rehabbed so the rooms were in good shape the beds and the pillows were sooooo comfortable. The food court had a nice selection the POR food court had more of a selection, but you can walk there or take the bus over if you want more variety. There is no sit down restaurant at the POFQ, but we generally eat our dinners in the parks so that never had an effect on us, and the food court was fine for breakfast or lunch.
The pool is huge, and it never really seemed crowded.
We stayed 2 nights at the Poly after our POFQ and my teenage daughter liked the POFQ better, she liked the way there was 2 sinks and a little shelf over the 2 sinks, she liked the bureau idea better than the amoire because it gave us more room to put our stuff.
I enjoyed it there so much that I am staying there again when I go in December.

This is our favorite resort.

Don't worry you will like it, and as AirForceRocks stated there is no bad location at this resort. Everything is within easy walking distance(meaning you won't have far to walk to the foodcourt, the resort shop, or the bus stops).

If you want to go to Boatwrights the sit down restaurant at POR, you can wallk(about 10minutes), take a bus or take the boat.

Though POFQ shares its buses with POR, they pick up and drop off first at POFQ.

The boat ride to Downtown Disney is not to me missed, a great relaxing ride.

Also during breakfast the food court has the delicious Beignets.

All of the rooms have been renovated(new bed, tv, etc.) , and now there is also a curtain in front of the sinks (seprate changing area if one is needed).

The rooms now also have a coffee pot with coffee.

Don't worry- you'll love POFQ. It is our favorite resort. We've stayed at POFQ, POR, CS, and AKL- savannah view and POFQ is our favorite. I think you will be pleasantly surprised. As above posters have said, there is not a bad location b/c the resort is so compact. We love the beignets at the food court! THe jazz music playing softly in the area is great! It is a beautiful resort and very relaxing! You will love it!!!princess:

I, too, have been a little worried about my switch from the Poly to POFQ. The only resort I've ever been to was Poly, and I'm so addicted to it!

But, I've heard so many great things about POFQ that I thought I'd give it a shot. I just keep telling myself that my checkbook will be much happier after this trip, than if I stayed at Poly! :D

Good luck, and let us know how you liked it!
