I was doing so well on my diet, gained 11, lost 6 but now I gained 4 again, guess I am just down on myself and life. I haven't cared about to much lately, what can I do to get that good feeling about myself? I look in the mirror and see fat and ugly, I hate feeling this way. :( Even the thought of going back to Disney isn't chaeering me up. this suxs:(

I'm sorry you're feeling so low :( Do you have a good friend? How about putting on an outfit that makes you feel good about you, taking your friend and going out for coffee. Then maybe take a stroll down main street or the mall(depending on where you live)and window shop.Nothing better than spending some time with a good friend doing something to lift your spirits.

Or take a hot bubble bath, curl up with a cup of tea and a good book.

Maybe rent a movie that busts your gut every time you see it(Birdcage works for me ;) ).

Even doing something for exercise could lift your spirits.Get your blood moving and your doing something positive for yourself.Richard Simmons can make anyone smile:D :D :D

Hope your day gets better!

When my clothes feel tight,I always go and buy an outfit that is a couple of sizes too big. This way it is comfy and looks good. It's good incentive to keep looking good and makes you feel better about yourself. SHH.... cut out the tags so no one can see the size, it will be your little secret. Before you know it you'll be tucking it away because your clothes will fit again!

{HUGS}

I go through the same thing with my weight. I have no willpower. But the last time I was on a diet - it was easier to keep going after I lost about 10 pounds.

Gail, I am so sorry you are feeling so low. This piece of advice may not make a whole lot of sense, but it does help me sometimes. I'm not saying I am able to do this all the time or that it works all the time.. But try it and see if it doesn't help some.

First of all, be your best friend. Like they've said. Rent a funny movie, do something that will bring you a smile. It'll be hard when you don't feel like it, but make the extra effort. You'll be glad you did.
Another part is to dress up when you are feeling like this. Don't overdress, but make sure you look good, or as good as you think you could look. It may seem like too much work somedays, but usually, you'll be glad you did.
More or less, take care of yourself and pretend you are happy and you'll really feel it soon. It sure beats moping around anyway.
And it never hurts to have a good cry either. Get it out and done with. :)

You weight will come and go, it's how you feel about yourself that matters most.
And believe me, I have my own problems with that. But my advice is what I tell myself a lot. It doesn't always work, but I try.

Thar's some good advice for you here Gail! :)

We all feel low from time to time...but please, don't do this:
I look in the mirror and see fat and ugly

You're as far from the truth in this as can be...If things aren't exactly the way you'd like, you can change it! You can do anything you set your mind to do! :)

I found sucess when I gave up on "dieting"...meaning that I adopted a change in my lifestyle and that included the types and amounts of food(s) I consumed and included regular exericse (that I found enjoyable)...for me at least...that was much easier than saying to myself "I can't" have this or that, etc..

OH...and another thing...throw away that mirror...it is obviously defective! :):)
