On our drive down from Buffalo to WDW in 2001..there was an exit we stopped at, in the Pittsburgh area, off I 79..that had some places to eat. They had a Cracker Barrel there..and that's where we ate breakfast. We will be hitting the Pittsburgh area around breakfast time..and I want to stop here again, but for the life of me cannot figure out what exit that was. Can anyone enlighten me?? Thanks :)

don't know, but perhaps you can go to cracker barrel's website and narrow it down/figure it out (if a pittsburgh dis'er doesn't come along to help you out)...

I agree about checking the Cracker Barrel site. If you get the names of several we could tell you where they are in relation to Pgh.

Hi the only Cracker barrel I know of in the Pgh area is off of the rte 60 north although it is about 4 miles off of that exit. IMHO About 10 miles closer to you on 79 is the Cranberry exit which has alot of Breakfast places. Eat & Park and Perkins are good. and they are right off of the exit. Pm me for more detailed info

I know of two Cracker Barrels in the Pittsburgh area, one near the airport (about 10 mins off of I79) and in Washington Pa (right near I79 I70) merge point. I drive it too offen to remeber the actual exit numbers. The one in Washington Pa is right off the exit (easy off, easy on) about 25 min from the one near the Airport. I highly recomend the one in Washington. It's along the the way, you can see the it from I79, less crowded of the two, and less sales tax (6% vs 7%). If you need more specific directions PM me.

Thank you..thank you!!!! I think the Washington PA one must be it.. it was very close to I 79! And I'm sure we had already gone past Pittsburgh when we stopped, and it sounds like this one is past the metro area. Now to figure out which exit it is :)

I live 1 mile from that Cracker Barrel and it is very good and clean. We eat there all the time. It is also right next to Wal-Mart in case you forget anything.
