We're toying of the idea (translation, I have to talk DH into it) of going to US/IOA and staying onsite from March 11-14, 2004. I signed up for a Loew's blue card, but I'd like some advice on where to get a great rate for an onsite hotel. I have a new entertainment book on order. Just when I got the WDW booking system down, the kids want to confuse me and go to US/IOA. Don't they know the stress they are causing their mother ?!?!;)

Do codes/discounts come out for onsite hotels like they do for WDW Resorts? Is there a place like Mousesavers.com that lists them?

I booked our Thanksgiving 2002, Wilderness Lodge stay and saved alot of money scouring these boards for helpful info. Now I feel like a duck out of water. Someone help! Should I go ahead and book now before my Entertainment book comes? Do the rates on the Universal website all rack rates, or do they reflect the codes? I'd really like to get a club level room, what's the best way to do this???? HELP!

The website seems to list rack rate unless you input a code, but it seems to me there aren't that many. You could try to book ent rate now, but they may not have them avail for your dates yet. You call 1 800-BEASTAR and ask if they have them available for the dates you want. If not, try back later, they release rooms at ent rate at different times. I originally booked rack rate three months out from my trip, but after trying many times, was able to get ent rate about two and a half months out. Ent rates tend to be the deepest discounts overall, with fan club rate also being good. You must have a fan club card from your employer or get one from someone on this board.

These boards are the best place to find out what rates people are getting and what discounts are available. Check the what is your date and rate section to get familiar with whats out there.

Also, to answer your question, I do not believe club rooms are available at fan club or ent rate. You can get a deluxe room that way, which is larger. Club rooms can be standard size rooms, and someone on this board may know as to whether they have club level deluxe at all. They may only have the standard size room. The deluxe room is much larger.

To answer your question, you do not need the ent book when you make your reservation, just upon check in.

I just booked PBH bay view for 140.00 per night using the Annual Pass rate. Check and see if its available for your dates.

That's a really great rate, Tigger Woods! What are your dates, if you don't mind me asking?

I called last week and no rates (ENT., AP, fan club) have been loaded for March 04, you can book now at the rack rate only and when rates have been loaded you can change the reservation. That is what they advised me to do. She stated that the rates normally get loaded in August or Sept for that time frame. I can't tell if she is right or not, but I will continue to look for our March 04 trip.

You can get a good deal at www.hotelkingdom.com if you are looking for a club level room. Right now they have a "buy 3 nights, get the 4th night free" special.

Hope that helps :)

Nicole,
My dates are July 14-19. They actually are offering PBH garden view for 129.00 w/AP, but my dates were not available.
