Just what the title describes. If anyone could recommend a good PC game for me to play. I was looking for an adventure game like monkey island but there aren't many good ones anymore.

Thanks:)

Have you tried Sims Castaway? I love the sims game and this one has more of a storyline and objective to it although you can play freestyle.

I also enjoy games like simcity and rollercoaster tycoon, i tend to go through phases with them. Zoo tycoon is also good.

If you like strategy games then any of the Civilization series by Sid Miers are a good bet. Personally I like Civilization III and can be picked up really cheap on eBay (But check your PC will run the game before purchasing, I’m not sure Vista will run some of these games)

Go rule the world :)

Nancy Drew are good if you like solving puzzles and clues etc

i am also a big fan of the old style 'point and click' style adventure games. have you played the simon the sorcerer series? the 4th edition is due out this yr (cant wait). i recently bought sam and max season one for pc (think it was about £15 from the game's website) made up of six episodes. they werent all that long, and there were only a couple of locations you could visit in each episode, but i liked it and thought it was worth the £15.

I'm just checking out some of these games now. I just need a change from Zoo Tycoon, Rollercoaster Tycoon and The Sims 1 and 2. I also think my mum is getting a bit fed up with me on the Xbox 360 all the time. I'm looking at Simon the Sorceror and The Sims Castaway Stories to see what they're like, they look interesting.

Sim seasons is good too as an extension to Sims 2.

i really enjoyed simon the scorcerer 3d, same sort of humour and style as monkey island. its also a game that will keep you going for ages- certainly not one of those that can be completed in a few days

I'm so glad there's other on here who love the Sims, I've just ordered the Nightlife & Seasons expansions! :)

I love the Seasons & the new expansion pack Freetime, it allows you Sims to have hobbies such as fitness which means your sim can go jogging & interests where you can improve on them etc.

Wow, there are a few sims fans here. I just bought the Seasons expansion as I needed a change from the ones I had (University, Nightlife, Pets, Open For Business) and have played those ones into boredom.

I also bought CSI - Dark Motives. My sister said it was going to be rubbish, but when I saw it in Computer Exchange for £2, I thought I'd give it a go. It's a little frustrating, but its not a bad game, especially if you like CSI.

Try the Longest Journey (and longest journey 2) They are very good adventure games.

Totally agree, Civ III is the best of the 4 of them, lots of fun and great if you like being the Boss ;)

Sims is lots of fun too but I find it super addictive so I had to stop playing.
