I need a bag to take to the parks to store a few things for the family. I would like to take a purse style bag that has a comfortable strap and can carry a couple of waters, a few pull-ups, a pack of wipes, and a few more small incidentals. I'm sure this has been posted, so thank you in advance for helping me find a great bag. I have always had to take a diaper bag, so I am really looking forward to leaving that very cumbersome bag at home.

Look at Vera Bradley bags. They are lite weight have a comfortable strap and she is having a BOGO sale today.

I have a bag that I love!

This may sound silly, but it's actually a lunch bag. Made by Coleman, it's about the size of a large purse, padded and insulated, with a zippered top and large pockets on both sides. Looks like a small tote, rather than a lunch bag. Holds everything, a great size, and very sturdy. Bought it online for about $11.00. I highly recommend it.

Jan,
That sounds like a super smart idea. I may need to consider that. Especially if I could find a divider to keep cold water bottles away from things that need to stay dry.

The large, storage-size zip loc bags might work for the dry things like diapers, tissues, cash, light sweater, etc.

Love this Baggallini Messenger Bagg for Disney:

It has exterior pockets for cell phone and water bottle. It's comfortable to wear, and holds a surprising amount for a medium size bag! Not quite big enough for a jacket, but holds more than I thought it would!

I would agree I have done several trips with this mag and two kids. It is the best bag for rides and space.
