Help me find a comfy bra!

Intimacy store is amazing, but there are only about 6 throughout the country. If you can't go to Intimacy, then hit up Nordtroms. I suspect you are not a 36B, I suspect you are probably a 34C.

VS sizes in a way that does not always fit correctly, it's not their fault, they just have a different way.

Like a PP mentioned, I thought I was a 34B. I am a 32DD/32E. I wouldn't have known that if I stuck with VS or went to Macy's on my own.

Expect to pay $100-120 for a good bra. Worth every penny. I will buy used jeans just to afford a good bra.

I am the same size and really like the "barely there" line. In particular, I find their invisible look line to be the most comfy. It has underwire and just enough padding, IMHO. They're great to wear under anything and what I like the most is no lines and no digging or poking into your skin. I tend to get mine at Kohl's and if on sale & you use a coupon, you can get them at a pretty good price. Good luck!

Yep I highly recommend Barely There. You can get good deals also at Steinmart. I have 2 and always wear them to the park.

Op, I'm the same size as you and I love Gillian & O'Malley brand from target. I have one on now that is wire free but fits like one with an underwire. I honestly forget I'm wearing a bra when I have one on. I've tried one's 3 or 4 times the price of these and didn't have the same comfort or smooth lines.

They're absolutely horrible at fitting for bras at Victoria's Secret. They told me I was a 36D, I am a 32B at best. I just have issues with my cups being loose when I bend over.

Another recommendation for Nordstrom! I was looking for an elegant gown a couple of years ago and went there. While I didn't find the gown, the lady in the gown department suggested I get a better fitting bra, as the gowns weren't working over my old bra. I went to the bra department, got fitted, got my proper size, and bought 2 bras on the spot. I need to go back and get another 1 . . . or 2!

No idea about where to find a comfy bra, but I had to laugh when I saw the OPs user name and the title of this thread.

After having breast reduction surgery, I can no longer wear a traditional underwire. They are just not comfortable. I found Warner's This is not a bra! that has light padding and a hidden underwire. Very comfortable and gives great shape.

I'm going to vote again to get re-fitted preferably at a nordstroms, intimacy or bare necessities store.

Then shop online at somewhere like bar necessities or even bra stop, that one is in the UK but even with the exchange rate and shopping prices are much lower.

Victoria's Secret puts me at a full 36D or a 34DD.

I wear a 34 F since I stopped buying bras there and I never have comfort or look issues.

Oh!!! And I was layig anywhere from $100-200 for a good bra when I first went to infancy and nordstroms. Now that I found bare necessities and bra stop I haven't paid more than 60 per Bra. Often times $40 or less. But I def would go get fitted at one if those physical stores first

Here's a website I pinned, it helped me find a bra that fits better than any other I've had. I wear Olga bras that I get at Kohl's when they're on sale. And for whatever reason, I don't wear plain bras. I have purple, pink, blue, polka dotted, tie dye, then the normal white, tan and black. My daughters are the same way... huh, wonder where they got that from ;)

Stacielee, thanks for sharing that link. I have never seen that info before and it was very helpful.

I agree with the other posters that a fitting by an experienced fitter is super helpful. You may have a small independent lingerie store in your area that has that service. I know we do in our area.

As far as brand goes I don't really have any advice because even within the same brand I have found bras that work and ones that don't (although the target G&M bras have let me down again and again). I really find that spending the time to try on several different brands and styles is a good investment.

The advice that I will give you is once you find a bra, make sure you "break" it in before you plan to wear it WDW. I put on a new bra this morning that I plan on wearing next week to Disney and it's a little stiff, if I were to wear it in this condition for 16 hours I would be so miserable. But I like the shape and the support and I think once it molds a little more to my shape it will be perfect.

Good luck in your search.

I'm probably in the minority but since I started wearing soft comfortable cotton sport bras I can't stand the wires/straps of a conventional bra. I am so enjoying not being pinched or poked lol

I second this. My DDs and I have larger and unusual bra sizes. We were fitted at Lady Grace but now I buy them online at bare necessities. There is a great assortment in each size and I usually have a coupon code. Plus I go through mypoints for credit.

I just bought two bras from there though and need to return both. One was a brand I hadn't tried before and it doesn't fit correctly. The other is a bra identical to one I already have and don't like. I don't know why I didn't notice that before I bought them!

I agree with getting fitted for real - as someone who worked at VS a million years ago, I would say NOT there.

Anyway, after seeing some posts I ordered a genie bra. OMG, so comfortable! I wouldn't necessarily wear it for a fancy occasion, they slightly have the uni**** effect of a sports bra, but not as bad. I think they look okay under tee shirts.

And the people at nordstroms (some jc penny's have older woman who I find to be the best fitters) will tell you that you really have to try on everything. Many brands and even different styles in the same brand will all fit differently. A good salesperson should be able to help.
