I have about one month until I can make my FP reservations! We will be there in September and I am now starting to stress because of the heat we will endure and FP. Originally we had an extra full park day, but now that we don't we cut a lot of things including being able to have multiple breaks. Here is what our current plans are going to be:

Arrival Day: Land at MCO at 5:45pm. No FP, maybe an ADR at 8pm or 8:30pm in Disney Springs or Epcot.

Day 2: Magic Kingdom day. Arrive at RD. FP 7DMT, Splash, Space. RD Buzz, Tomorrowland Speedway, Carousel of Progress, People Mover. (Should we RD Space and change that FP for Thunder or even Peter Pan?) We may park hop over to another park this night, or go to MNSSHP. Haven't decided our plans yet.

Day 3: Epcot Day. Arrive at RD. FP Test Track, Spaceship Earth, Figment. RD Soarin and Frozen (Not sure what order to go in or if we should FP Frozen then RD Test Track instead)

Day 4: Animal Kingdom day. Arrive at RD. FP Flight of Passage, Everest, Safari. RD Navi then head to Safari for FP. (Should we change our Safari FP to Dinosaur or Kali River Rapids?)

Day 5: Hollywood Studios day. Arrive at RD. FP Slinky Dog, Rock n Roller, and Tower. RD Toy Story Mania, Star Tours, and possibly Rock n Roller (we want to go twice).

Day 6: Morning is open to either sleep in a bit or RD Epcot or Hollywood Studios. FP Magic Kingdom for night. FP Peter Pan, Space, and 7DMT (these might change when we get there based on what we can get done and what we might want to do twice)

Day 7: RD Animal Kingdom. FP Flight of Passage, Everest, Lion King. RD Safari.

How do these plans look? The last two days are more so doing what we liked the most. I will be going with my dad who has never been and he has vertigo a little bit, so some of the bigger rides he may only be able to once. I also don't know if I should make FP for HS on Day 6 in case we decide to go there in the morning since MK FP will be easy to get as 4ths and so on.

Arrival Day: I wouldn't make an ADR unless you have a popular spot in mind. You should be able to find a reservation somewhere a few hours prior to your meal. No worries if you don't feel like a sit down meal or your flight is delayed.
Day 2: If riding Peter Pan is any kind of priority, I would FP it. I like the ride, but not enough to endure those wait times. Otherwise, your selections look good to me.
Day 4: I think you can do Kali without a FP. We've found that you can basically walk-on if you go early-ish. I wouldn't trade a Safari FP for Kali.

Looks like you have a fun trip planned!

I think you will be surprised how much you will get done if riding is your priority (no character lines etc). I think you will still have times for breaks/flexible plans. For example, in December we did rd at MK with no FPs and did 7dmt, pp, all 3 mtns, buzz, potc all before lunch at 11 or so (park open was 9).

Thoughts...
If you hotel has a food court I would be planning to do that for arrival instead to avoid stress.

MK - the queue for Peter Pan really was pretty awesome. If it were me I would do that on your rope drop day and maybe Buzz after another FP your second MK day instead.

AK - I would keep safari as a FP but try to push it back a bit. You will be done with Navi early if you arrive at the right time and so still have time to make use of the first empty hour.

On Day 2, I would FP 7DMT, Splash, and BTMR. Rope drop space mountain and continue to the other Tomorrowland rides since they are close by. You will have minimal wait for Carousel of Progress and People Mover. Try to schedule your 7DMT fastpass first, since Fantasyland neighbors Tomorrowland. Splash and BTMR are next to each other, so it makes sense to do them back-to-back. You can probably get a 4th fastpass for Buzz or Tomorrowland Speedway if you don't want to wait in line in the morning. If you switch your fastpasses on Day 6, you may want to consider a fp for Peter Pan on Day 2. It is an incredibly slow loading ride. We have been able to get it for a 4+ fp, though, so you may be able to do that, too.

At Epcot, I would do the single rider line for Test Track if you are OK not riding together. That would eliminate the need for a fastpass or rope drop. If you do that, you can fp Frozen and rp Soarin. On our last trip, the Frozen ride kept going down. I was thankful that we did a fp because we received an anytime fp that we could use later when it was up and running (or at a select group of other rides). I would have been really upset if we had waited in line forever and not been able to ride! If you can't do the single rider line, I would rd Test Track because it tends to close during afternoon rains.

On a side note, I also have vertigo. I cannot ride space mountain, BTMR, TOT, Dinosaur, Everest, Star Tours, or Rock 'n Roller Coaster. Even Test Track, 7DMT, and Soarin can be iffy. You may want to have your Dad watch the rides on You Tube before you make your fastpass selections. I have learned that as much as I want to ride certain things, it is not worth being out of commission for days of my vacation.

Thank you for this. He is thinking he will be fine. He does a lot of the big rides at knotts, but after a few of them he is done with roller coasters. So I think only doing a few of the roller coasters a day will be okay with him. He is fine on all of the rides out here at Disneyland. The only one I am a little concerned about him for is Rock n Roller. I get motion sickness easily too, so there are some rides I can’t even do.
