Instead of having salad at my Chrismtas party, I'm doing a veggie tray. It has four sections, plus the middle piece.

I'm going to have cucumbers, black olives, and little tomatoes.

So I need to know two things:
1. What else can I put in it?
2. Should I put a fifth veggie in the middle or fill it with ranch dressing or some kind of veggie dip?

I'm serving a broccoli dish, so raw broccoli is probably not the best option.

I like raw green pepper strips or carrots or cauliflower or yellow squash

Some lady said the same thing to me at the bar last night :confused3

We usually have cauliflower, tomotoes, celery, green peppers & baby carrots with dipin the center. I would just do some olives as a garnish and not a whole space for them.

I would eat a whole can of olives in one sitting, and I know one of my friends would, too. Personally, I'd fill the whole thing with olives and leave out the rest ;)

Thanks for the ideas... keep 'em coming :)

We do:
Celery
Carrots
Cucumber
Red Pepper Strips
Black Olives
Green Olives
Gherkin Pickles

Then I will make a blue cheese dip (great with celery and cucumber) and a vegetable dip with one of the Knorr Soup Mixes.

And if the choice were mine - with the veggies you're having - I would want Ranch dip..:santa:

Just thinking about it makes me want some!
Yes! I had a sudden urge for black olives :lmao:

... and guess what DH just brought me home? A big, fresh, tasty salad with greens, tomatoes, cukes, red and green pepper slices, cubed cheese, oil and vinegar and (drumroll please) :woohoo: BLACK OLIVES!! :cool1: :rotfl2:

I like baby carrots & green peppers. My aunt puts mushrooms on her veggie trays. Not everyone likes them, but they are good with ranch or blue cheese dip.
