Help me feel better...

Our family is booked for a 2-br and a studio in OKW in Oct. so we can all go with g'ma & g'pa. (Yes, we're waitlisted for a GV...but that's another story for another day.)

We chose OKW because we thought the large size of the 2-br would give us all a nice place to "hang out" in the evenings, even if some of the kids fall asleep.

But I keep thinking about SSR (our home resort) and how much I'll miss the amazing DD view we had last time. And the short walk over to the great restaurants. And the carriage rides (well, okay, we're going to do that whether we stay there or not!) and the donald duck pool and the beautiful rooms and...

well, you get the picture!

I know OKW is a great resort. We used to own there, and have many pleasant memories. But can you feel "homesick" for a DVC resort, even when staying at another great DVC resort?

I think OKW is much better for a large family. The living room/kitchen area is so much bigger, you have more seats. I love the water and golf views. My mom and I stayed there 6 times and only once was I disappointed with the view (building 28). It's so easy to park. I've never stayed at SSR (don't really have a desire to), so I can't compare.

We have just returned from OKW. We got to stay in a GV and it was truly amazing!! We also own at SSR, and this was our first trip home, but since we wanted a GV we chose to stay at OKW. When we bought, we bought sight unseen, so while we were there i did have a look at the rooms at SSR. Honestly they are quite beautiful, but OKW is also beautiful, lot's more room. OKW is also very close to DTD and has it's own speical views. I loved sitting out on the balcony in the mornings drinking coffee and watching the golfers on the course. Either way you'll have a wonderful time! Missy
