Solo touring is a blast if you are in the proper mindset for it. In some ways it is the ultimate in self-indulgence as many posters have pointed out. Do what you want when you want. The lines can be a bit boring, but I bring my smartphone with both audio and kindle books. Also, quite often the people in line are quite sociable and you can chat. Many people say they don't want to dine alone, but I have found it is often great. You can concentrate more on the food, and most CMs in the parks go out of their way to make solo diners feel the magic. That brings me to the one negative I have found - counter service dining. If there are lots of tables then there is no problem; however, sometimes not being able to save a table/seat can be a problem. (I do not leave property/stuff on tables). It really all depends.
I also love doing guided tours while traveling solo but it looks like there won't be any available for me in August. That's a bummer but not a tragedy.
My biggest advice is to be flexible. You can drift from place to place easily so go with whatever current you get caught up in. I do like to set up a lunch ADR each day just to have a built in rest period (and hydration stop) during the hotter months. That's my anchor time and everything else is up to the pixie dust.
Have a great trip.
