I believe 12 /9 is a wishes evening...
I am torn between Kona Cafe, Chef Mickey and Narcoosee, for viewing the fireworks. Which to choose..
It is just myself and my 10 princess for life
I know the later is a 2 credit meal, but it does have the patio to view.
What about Kona Cafe? Is that a good choice for viewing the fireworks?
It is a 2 credit meal, as well??

ALSO...on another night...12/8 (my MVVMC Night) I wanted to go to Akershus...
I have 2 times to choose from...5 and 3....are ALL the princesses that show u, show up for both times? Didn't know if some show up for different times.

LASTLY, How is Biergarten....never been, don't know what to expect.
TY SO MUCH...

I can only answer your first question. You can not see the fireworks from Kona Cafe or Chef Mickeys. Only Narcoosees. However, after dinner at Kona you can go down onto the beach at the Poly and watch Wishes from there. The view is spectacular!! Also, the food at Kona is wonderful! You really can't go wrong. I have never been to Narcoosees's but I would assume it has the best food, albeit expensive, and you can see the fireworks from your table if you have a window seat. The view is a little to the side as compared to the direct view you get from the Poly beach. If it were me, I would go to Narcoossee's and watch Wishes from the Poly beach another time.

TY.
I forgot to mention that we wanted to see the fireworks on the beach and maybe take some photos of our feet in the sand. LOL.
I will research KONA CAFE and take a peek at the menu. :lovestruc

I'd go to either Kona or Narcoosee's. The food is good at both restaurants, but the ambiance is nicer at Narcoosee's. Kona doesn't really have a lot of charm and the noise from the lobby at the Poly can get loud. (But I still like it there.) We have never been to Chef Mickey's. We don't do character meals and the menu selections from there seem to be pretty basic.

Have you thought about Ohana? I love the food, and during the fireworks, they will dim the lights and pipe in the music. You can also request a window seat to see the fireworks. It is always a nice romantic evening.:)

I hate to say this, but I was just at Kona a week ago. It was our worst dining experience. We waited 50 min. past our ADR and the entire dinner was rushed (took 45 min).
The food was obviously sitting under heat lamps. It tasted like it and we placed our order, the server went in one door and came out the other with the food in less than 3 minutes.
She ripped the bread away from us as we were eating it and put down the bill after our 2nd bite of dessert.

If you want a GREAT relaxing meal with fireworks viewing, go to the Poly. Go to the Captain Cooke's Counter service. It has a good selection of food. We love the fresh made aloha chips (potato and sweet potato chips)..they come with sandwiches or are 1.29 for a side order. The have BBQ pulled pork sandwiches, stir fried noodles, and serve yourself DOLE WHIPS!

You can get your food, and go down on the beach with it and eat at the tables there. If you are there about 8:45, you can see the electrical water pageant right there on the water...it's so nice. Then watch the fireworks.

It is the perfect view, good food, and no rush or ADR needed!

Just adding that you want to go to the tables next to the POOL area (which is next to a beach)....I thought just saying 'beach' might be a bit confusing since the entire place is surrounded by beach.

It's only a minute walk out the door from Captain Cookes

I'd recommend Ohana for a view of the fireworks. We also had a terrible experience at Kona after waiting for hour for a table, eventhough we had a ressie. I don't think I'll ever go there again, eventhough I'm sure we'll stay at The Poly again.

If you're going to walk on the beach after a meal, I'm wondering if The Wave might work for you? I'm just not sure about the view...I know the view from CG is perfect! Or, you could eat at The Wave and take the monorail to The Poly to watch the fireworks.

You also asked about Biergarten...it's one of my absolute favorites! It's a great place for a first meal at The World. There are lots of food choices--really good German food, plus items for everyone's palate--delicious beer, and the band is really fun. I highly recommend it!

No view from the Wave...it has no windows.

I've heard that at the California Cafe they turn down the lights in the restaurant and you hear all of the audio for the fireworks show through the restaurant speakers! Hubby and I are planning to do this for our romantic night out :flower3:
