Help me decide...

Please help me decide on a resort for our trip. I would appreciate your opinions and imput on which place you like the best.
The places we are considering are:

Vistana Resort
Silver Lake
Vacation Village at Parkway
Hilton Grand Vacation Club at Seaworld

are you planning on during just WDW - then Vistana Resort - if SW and US/IOA plus WDW then HGVC (this is the best).

Silver Lakes works fine for WDW too - Vistana Resort just has more to do and is bigger.

How many people is this for?? Children? What time of year?

It would be for 2 adults and 3 kids. We are going in Oct and going to both WDW and Seaworld. We probably will not use any kid's planned activities that resorts offer, since we will be on the move a lot of the time, but would like a nice pool(s) and playground for them to enjoy.

Vistana is like 5 minutes from WDW - HGVC is more like 15 minutes (sometimes more). Coming back to both takes longer but that is the way WDW is designed.

HGVC is across the street from SW - so very convenient to it.

both have nice swimming pools and playgrounds for the kids.

look at the list activities - you might have find something you like more than the parks - yes I know hard to believe - but after going back and forth to the parks for around 3 days - a change might be in order.

Well, let's see............the only one I've stayed at is Vistana. Loved that. But from what I have read on these boards, HGVC is the nicest one on your list. I'm not sure I would choose that one though, if you're only doing one day at Seaworld and the rest at WDW. I don't know if I'd like to be that far away............although for a great deal, you could talk me into it. (I've always wanted to stay at either of the Hilton Clubs in Orlando)

Is this a trade in with your timeshare or something............if so, then they are all around the same price? or are they different prices? that is something to consider.

Silver Lake is in Animal Kingdom's back yard so location is good there. Vistana was a mile or two to DTD.........we thought the location was great. I don't remember where VV is. This is more high rise though, right? I really liked being able to park right outside our door at Vistana. Awesome when you are ready to go to the parks. Ofcourse we were on the first floor.....took us literally 10 seconds from our door to our van.......really nice with kids.

This is a timeshare exchange, so they would all be the same price. We would probably do 2 days at WDW and 2 days at Seaworld (since I read that you can upgrade the the 2nd day free at SW), so it is really a toss up as far as which park we want to stay closer to. We just want to stay at the nicest kid friendly resort that is available to us.

I would go with Vistana - it is more central located than the other two.

Man, that's a hard one. I agree, Vistana would be great. But does HGVC have any "old" units that you want to steer clear of..................

..............I don't think I would be unhappy in any section of Vistana, but there are some on this board that don't like when that happens.

Are all the units pretty much the same for HGVC??
