Hey, iluvpooh!!!
Welcome - there is lots of info here, and people are glad to share their expertise!!!
Take a deep breath, relax, the time of year you are going is considered "value" season, so the rates are the lowest, even at rack rate! You're already ahead of the game!! There may be discounts at this time as well, so you could possibly get even lower rates. Keep checking mousesavers.com for updated info on discounts. (These usually come out just a few months ahead of time, tho.)
Also, go to allearsnet.com for research on planning your trip, accomodations, dining, etc. This is a great site, and gives many links to other great WDW sites - you have plenty of time to become an expert yourself!!!
Do not be afraid to book value or moderate resorts if that is all your budget allows - many people love these resorts!! We have stayed at POR (formerly called Dixie Landings) for our first trip, and really loved it!
Don't worry, you will be able to find something on-property to suit your tastes and budget - it just takes a little research!!
Good luck, and happy planning!!
