We have the choice between a deluxe studio garden room and a 1 bedroom garden view at BWV for a 6 night stay next month.

This will be our first vacation as DVC members so it is a special one for us. (I'm not counting the short staycations we've had at vgc) It is just DW and I

The deluxe studio is 76 points and the 1 bedroom villa is double that at 152 points. We have never stayed in a one bedroom villa before and the rest of the trip we are staying in one and two bedroom villas at different hotels. The trip will be a month long. We plan to visit theme parks on most days, but since we're AP holders it wont be for full days (dinner and a couple rides and a show mostly) while we're at BWV.

Anyways, I have sat on this so long and my banking deadline is near so please decide for me. Im at the point where the most popular opinion here is what im doing without thinking anymore 🤣🤣

Should I keep the deluxe studio or the 1 bedroom for our "inaugural" stay? Booking into a lower category isn't an option for both room types unfortunately.

My vote would be to stay in the studio since you are moving to a one/two bedroom later (you can do your laundry then!) If you were only going for the week, I’d vote the opposite!!

PS - We love going in August - we’ll be there as well. Have the best time!
Thank you! Seems like a lot of disboarders are heading over for aug/sept!

WDW in August is my nightmare, way too hot for my fair weather taste, even Sept can be unbearable at times, but it’s a great time of year for the pools and water parks! Have an awesome time!
Thank you! I love the heat and have been in July so I think I will be fine, but I do remember july being crazy. When we went in January it was also freezing cold so with my experiences ive just resigned to the fact that the weather can suck at any time lol. If we get a hurricane I will just laugh at this point 🤣🤣

We do plan to utilize the free water parks and booked some of the resorts with the best pools which im sure will be insanely crowded 🤣🤣 i have my mini fan ready and going to purchase some cooling towels!

I don't own DVC so I don't know the ones and outs of the points charts and use years and I don't get to go to Disney very often, but I would book the studio and bank the points so I could take another vacation at a future date. Your trip sounds wonderful, have an amazing time!

I'm a spendthrift, so I'll say 1BR! Either way, have a great trip!

The tally is 4 ay for studio to 3 ay for 1 bedroom (i included myself as team 1 bedroom 🤣🤣🤣 i will be closing votes and banking points at 8am PST lol)

The classic one bedroom versus studio dilemma 😂 Studios allow more nights but one bedrooms make it special
