Where to eat.
I have four days to plan for and i cant make my mind up  each day we will want to have a meal in the evening and then on the last day I think we'll have some lunch before getting the eurostar, plus we're also likely to want lunch when we get there.

We def want to eat at :-
Cafe Mickey
The Steakhouse
Annettes

And would like to try:-
Inventions
Agrabah Cafe
Blue Lagoon
Rainforest Cafe
Manhattan Restaurant
Yacht Club

We also really liked cape cod last time.Soo would be grateful for some opinions/suggestions

Of those I'd probably opt for Inventions (very good choice of food and characters make for a really good meal IMO) and Agrabah cafe (something slightly different to most food at DLRP by the looks of things) to make up the 5.

Ah but there's more than five - two lunches and five evenings.

I'd do it as follows

Day 1 - Lunch on arrival at Annette's; dinner at Blue Lagoon
Day 2 - Dinner at the Steakhouse
Day 3 - Dinner at Inventions
Day 4 - Dinner at Manhattan
Day 5 - Dinner at Cafe Mickey
last day - lunch at Agrabah

How's that? a personal viewpoint of course.

I think you should deffo go to the Yacht Club- There's hardly any reviews of it!!

Seriously, I would go for the Rainforest Cafe at some point.... We really enjoyed it there.

LOOL i'm confusing you, sorry we're there five days but there would only be four evening meals- as the last day would be lunch, but as we like the sound of trying so many places maybe we'll plan lunch instead of just eating where we are-humm i duno.
I like the sound of Annettes for lunch on the first day- as we'll be up early and be rather hungry by the time we get to dlp plus if are room isnt ready when we arrive it should be by the time we've eaten.

Ah right well in which case I'd lose Manhattan!

Annettes on day 1 is good because its often a walk-in at lunchtime, its right near the entrance, you don't have to go too far to find it, you can be seated with a beer/milkshake within ten mins of getting off the train!

Yeah but is that saying something? :rotfl:

I don't think so.... :goodvibes Maybe its a hidden gem that nobody wants us to know about!!!!!!!

I would love to go here, but Robert really doesn't want to!

Very true it could be indeed- the menu looks nice

I'm now thinking that depending on where we eat, it might be worth us upgrading our HB vouchers to premium as its would cost us £112 but eating in some of these places, we'll have to pay the extra anyway which i think will come to more then that.

Sounds sensible, although the vouchers don't offer you a full choice in a lot of places from what I saw last week. I guess you could still use them to make up the different though.

Yeah because if we ate at inventions, manhatten, yacht club,Blue lagoon and cafe mickey then we'll need to pay extra. I guess i would need to work out how much extra.

I know you dont get to choose from all the menu but its only aty the places above thats really a problem altho i think most of them do offer set menus in which i'm sure there is something we like- we're not fussy lool But that is a good point as I'm guessing having the premium- you may only be able to eat off of the set menu. Where as if we were to pay the extra and use the HB plus vouchers for face value then we could have whatever.

I would say rainforest cafe as thats the only one ive eaten in on your list lol.

Ok soo i'm thinking.....

Sunday- Annette's(lunch)- not sure for dinner yet but pos Cape Cod followed by cocktails at each hotel back to Hotel New York loool

Mon- The Steakhouse(dinner)& cocktails in the village
Tues- Inventions(dinner)& cocktails in DLH
Wed- Cafe Mickey (dinner)& cocktails in the village
Thurs- Agrabah Cafe(lunch)

How does that sound??

Would like to go Rainforest cafe and Blue lagoon but i cant make it work

They could be non alcoholic ones... ;)

:offtopic: That sounds like a good idea for the January Meetup though.

Back on topic :)

I've personally enjoyed good meals in the first 3 and the last one looks rather nice, so long as you're not selective like me :lmao:

loool hotel crawl for the Jan Dis meet- that would be funny

We've been to Cape Cod, Cafe Mickey and The steakhouse before so we know what to expect. I hope the others will be nice tho, i'm not fussed about Annettes as I'm not keen on burgers but my BF wants to try so i thought i'd be nice lool

I'm not a fan of burgers either (Too much Red meat making you ill does do that to you!! Lol!) but I love the Burrito Wraps at Annettes- They're really nice. And whilst I'm not into burgers Annettes is good quality.... You have to have a milkshake there!

Sounds a good plan! And I love the cocktail crawl!! Lol!
