Help me decide which tickets

Let me start by saying that I have never been to a Disney park- unless you count Disney Quest-which I love, so I'm kinda on the fence about which tickets to buy. I really don't think I have any interest in going to Epcot or Animal Kingdom (maybe once Expedition Everest is open).

In July we will have 7 full days with the family (10-15 of us- some still undecided about the trip). We have only set aside one day for MK and no other Disney parks (we already have Disney Quest tickets and will be going there). I doubt we will be able to squeeze in another day but it is possible, really excited about going to MK for the first time (it was my dream as a child but never got to go). (we are also going to Clearwater beach for 1 day, some are going to Kennedy Space Center and we all have either 5 days passes or AP for Universal/IOA so our time is already well accounted for)

We will be back in October for 7 days (6 full days), just my husband and I. I know we plan to go to MGM during this time but will be there primarily for a paintball tournament at Wide World of Sports (also going to HHN at Universal).

Probably be there during the Spring of 2005 for pre/post cruise, but as we have AP's for Universal, probably would spend all of our time there.

Finally, my ? is buy the 3 day PHP for $190 (approx. 63/day)
or the 4 day PHP for $226 (approx. 57/day) (not including the plus option).

Sorry this is so long. My husband does not want to hear any more about tickets, lol, and I just can't seem to make up my mind.
It seems like the 4 day is a better deal, as they never expire.

Thanks for any help/suggestions:teeth:

I'd probably go for the 3 day since you are only planning on one-day each for two trips. Your pre-cruise will be spent at Universal, right? These tickets never expire, so you can save the final for another time. On the day you go to MGM, you could always hop over to Epcot since the two parks are so close and connected by a boat. There are very good restaurants and nice shows there.

If all you plan to do is go to a single park, one time for each of 2 visits, then I think that you should just get the single-day tickets at the gate.

The cost for each 1day/1park adult pass is $58.31 with tax. That's less than you would be spending per day for the 3-day passes and just a little more per day than the 4-day pass. Why put out more money than you need to spend right now?

Hi 2BigKIdz,

The Unofficial Guide has a free page on its website that tells you the least-expensive ticket option for any combination of theme parks, water parks and other Disney attractions requiring admission. A link to the page is in my SIG below.

Besides giving the least-expensive option, the page will also suggest annual passes where appropriate. Let me know if this doesn't help answer your question.

Sincerely,

Len Testa

The cheapest option when you break it down is the 4-day. Maybe you MIGHT get the urge to try another park once you are there? If not then do one day admissions, though you can't hop around if you change your mind, it is only good for the park you choose. If you do a hopper you get to jump around if you wish. Who knows, You may like MK so much that you become addicted and want to see more of Disney!:teeth:

Thanks for all of your suggestions. I think I will go ahead and get the 4 day php. I'm sure we will use all 4 days eventually, maybe even sooner than anticipated if we are able to squeeze in extra days this July. Really hope to do everything at MK this trip since we will have our nieces and nephews with us. Thanks again!
