Help me decide which one to cancel Boma or Kona ?

I need to cancel 1 ADR . DH wants to try Yak and Yeti for lunch in AK. I had planned on going to Boma after the park. It is on Halloween so wondering if they have pumpkin cravings at AKL.
I can get Yak and Yeti for AK- EMH morning but would have to cancel Kona that day .
All of you that have done Kona and Boma , which would you cancel ?

I would cancel Boma. The last two times we went it just wasn't good Plus, you can always visit AKL one night to see the pumpkins.

Which meal would you be dropping at Kona and at Boma? I would keep Boma for dinner over Kona---but Kona over Boma for lunch (mainly because I don't eat enough at lunch time to warrant a buffet.)

You really can't go wrong with yak n yeti, boma, or kona!!

We ate at both in July, we liked both, but if I had to choose which one to go back to, it would be BOMA, we all loved it from our DS5, DD16, DH46 and me....ummmm 29? Lots to choose from.

We've eaten at both, we'll go back to Boma any time but will never go back to Kona again. We had the worst experience with food and service for lunch there on our last trip.

LOVE Boma...I would never cancel an ADR for Boma...I would miss my sister's wedding before I'd cancel a dinner at Boma!

Quite true, same goes for me. Boma is my one MUST DO restaurant anytime that I'm anywhere even remotely close to the Orlando area. YUM!!!

Location Location is everything. Cancel Boma if you will be at MK as Kona is just a short boat/monorail away.

We've eaten at both many times and enjoy both but IF I had to cancel one or the other, I would cancel Kona and eat at Boma.

I would choose Kona over Boma any day.
I know many people here just LOVE Boma, but we didn't care for it at all. We went 2 years ago, and after reading so many glowing reviews about it here on the DIS I was couldn't wait to go. What I CAN say is that the setting is lovely. It was great to be able to go out on the veranda and see the animals, while we waited over 1 hour past our ADR time! Once seated, I found I didn't like the setup of the stations (or pods, I think they were called), and the food was just not for us. Though they have some "American food" like prime rib, it is sesoned very differently than what we are used to. Kind of a cinnamon, allspice flavor to a lot of the dishes (I may be guesing the wrong spices, but the point is many of the main dishes had seasoning that I would expect more in a dessert). Just not our cup of tea. My kids didn't eat much, except the desserts. My younger Dd raved about the zebra domes and still keeps asking for every ADR I make, "do they have zebra domes?" So that's something anyway!
We really enjoyed Kona. Found the setting relaxing, the service good and the food delicious. BTW, I don't know if your Kona ADR is for dinner,but you really don't have to cancel it just because you will be in AK that day. Kona is not in a park, so you just have to hop on the bus to the Poly. That's what we usually do for dinner on our AK days anyway, since AK closes at 5:00 and we're not crazy about the TSs there/near there. This trip we will be bussing it over to Poly for dinner at 'Ohana on our AK day.

I'd pick Boma over Kona any day. Boma is the one meal all my family agrees is the one we can't do without. They even requested I try to get it twice next time. So much variety and the desserts are to die for. My only complaint is that we eat waaayyy too much at that meal.

I would say that if you are not a big eater, then cancel Boma, b/c it *is* a buffet. If you are on the DDP, price may not be a consideration, but if you are paying OOP for the two restaurants and don't typically order an App, entree and dessert, then it would also be less expensive to eat at Kona.

However, having said that, Boma is our favorite restaurant on property and the *only* Disney restaurant that my husband lists among his all time favorite places to eat.

Kona is dinner but I am going to try to fit Boma in too. Yak and Yeti has to be lunch because AK closes so early. Boma and Yak and Yeti are on the same day . Way too much food. 6 nights table credits . 7 ADRS. Thanks again.

Boma and Yak & Yeti IS way too much food!

We love Boma, but are you staying at AKL? We really loved the new Tusker House, which has the same head chef as Boma, thus similar foods.

I have never done Yak & Yeti, but seen mixed reviews. I would skip that and do Boma. Or dinner at Tusker House instead????

I would dump Kona. Both are good, but Boma is a favorite for us.
