Help me decide- which AKL room?

I can't thank you all enough for all of your advice! After lots of consideration, we have decided to not stay at AKL at all. LOL AKL sounds like a wonderful place to explore and just absorb that atmosphere. But after seeing what a few of you have said on here, we have decided we really want to visit Disney Springs and have breakfast at Chef Mickey's and explore the monorail hotels. So we are going to stay at POR in the Royal Rooms. We get fun rooms, good pools, boat access to Disney Springs and its at a price where I wont feel bad about not spending every moment at the resort.

We plan on returning to WDW in 2025 to celebrate our oldest son's high school graduation (and actually attend the parks!) and AKL is at the top of my list for a split stay. I think the 2 bedroom savannah view would be very beneficial and a wonderful experience based on all your suggestions.

Thanks again everyone!

Sounds like a great plan! Just be sure to come back before you book the 2025 trip, to be sure our advice hasn’t changed! :p

The 2BR villa at Kidani has 3 full bathrooms. It also has a king bed in the primary bedroom, a queen bed and double fold out couch in the secondary bedroom, and a queen fold out couch and twin sleeper chair in the living room.

You can use either pool, no matter which building you’re in. You can walk between them, take the shuttle that runs continuously, or take a park or DS bus.

I’d vote for Kidani 2BR savanna view.
The dedicated 2 bedroom has 2 queen beds in the second bedroom. Just sayin'

Every time we've stayed at the AKL we always get a Savannah view room. Theres nothing like sitting out watching the Animals early in the morning or right before dinner in the evening... My wife loves it there
