We want to take our 3 yr old back again . .Last year we went the week before Easter and it was pretty busy. I don't have much of a choice when we go since I work in a school.. So this year my spring break is the week after Easter-- April 5-9. I was thinking of going that week but I am concerned how busy that will be.

My only other choice is the second week of June which I think will be even busier?? Also, if I choose to book for April should I book it soon?? I know there aren't any promos out now for then.. What about dining? Last time I waited way too long and couldn't get in Chef's mickey or anywhere good! Any advice would be great :)) Thank you!!

According to the crowd prediction calendar on touringplans.com, the week after Easter is actually busier than then week before. It is rated all 9's the entire week, which is insanely crowded. The second week of June is not much better....all 8's with one 9. Since you are not going to see much of a difference crowd wise between those two weeks, I'd choose your April dates because at least you would not have to put up with the intense heat you would have in June! We went last June and I thought I was going to die by lunchtime each day...and I am a native Texan, so I am used to bad heat...and I still thought it was horrible!

I would go ahead and book now. On October 27 they are changing the dining reservation window back to 180 days instead of 90 days, so that would be the day you would make your adr's for your trip....so I would book asap since that is this coming Tuesday. You will definitely want to make your dining reservations first thing that morning since you will be going during a crowded time!

...personally, I'd rather go right after Easter than in June (lots of schools begin their summer vacations then!)....

2nd week of June would be slightly less busy than Easter.

For perspective--Florida Resident passes are blacked out the week before and after Easter....and the summer blackout usually begins about June 9/10 or so. (our anniversary is June 13th and we are always blacked out.)

The problem with Easter is nationwide--school districts vary on their spring breaks as to it being before or after Easter and that is what you are contending with.

June would be better--it will be more humid than April, but at least for us Floridians it really isn't so bad. July and August are when the humidity gets stifling.

I would plan for June, personally.
