Help me Decide Poly vs. WL 2007

Here is my dilemma, next year is our 10th anniversary and it's always been a dream of mine to stay at the Poly. We have stayed twice (Aug 2000 & May 2004) at the WL and loved it both times. That said, if we tried for the Poly we would have to go in value season in the summer, either late July or early-Mid August. We have been in August before we had kids and the heat didn't bother us then. However DH isn't as big of a disney fan as me so I'm afraid to splurge on the Poly in mid summer and have him be upset with large crowds and/or too hot and regret the expense. Our last trip in Sept '05 was a disaster--2 yo with croup & er visit, stolen stroller, etc., etc. and he made me cancel our trip this May as a result! So, what would you do? Our DD's will be 6 and 4 next summer and I would like to be closest to MK. We've never stayed monorail with them so that is a big plus. I also LOVE Kona Cafe and want to try O'Hana for the character breakfast--I have LOTS of reasons to NEED to stay at the Poly!

I think you answered your own question......Poly

Is it not possible for ya'll to go at value season in nov/dec? That's when we went to thePoly and it was so nice! The monrail coming right to you is very nice!!

That said, we have stayed at the cont. twice- monorail service and it's cheaper than the Poly. The weather is a lot cooler in nov.and dec. than summer.

But if that's when you have to go, I would still go for the Poly- the monorail is worth it with little kids!!

First if you like WL you will like the POLY they are similiar in the relaxation factor.
you can try September as well... if you go mid-late you can get a good deal most of the time and the weather is a little cooler (compared to August) but there are no crowds...
ya it will be one day if that happens --never did for me-- :thumbsup2
I go that time because of the lack of crowds....... :bounce:
Did I mention the lack of crowds in Septemeber!!!

Thanks for the suggestion of September. We were there in '98 in Sept (pre-kids) and again last September (our disaster trip). Next year I'd rather not go then because of Hurricanes (although I know Hurricane season is from May-Nov)--also would have to pull my oldest out of school (I know it's only kindergarten, but she would have just started.

As for Nov/Dec, I can't bear to wait til Nov '07 for my next Disney fix and crazy as this sounds, I really like to go to Disney when it's warmer just because it feels more like a vacation to me--growing up we only ever traveled in the summer so it somehow feels more like a real trip when I'm away during late spring/summer months.

My biggest concern is the price difference between WL and Poly. I think if my husband had his choice he would say WL in May, but I really want the Poly so I'd put up with the hot weather for the opportunity to stay there. For me it's the whole wonder of staying there and the experience of being there. For him it's all about practicality. :rolleyes2
