First things first, you guys rock. This may be my first post but I've been reading plenty of the existing posts for a few days now and you are all so helpful and polite, keep up the good work!

My question however is, has anyone had any experience of the Cypress Pointe complex at LBV.

I had more or less decided on a 16 nt deal at Springhill Suites LBV via virgin at a cost of approx £2000 all in (using Nat West car insurance, thanks for that one!) when my local independent travel agent came up with the semi-hard sell for Cypress Pointe. He offered 14 nts in a 2 bed 2 bathroom apartment, with car, virgin flights and full car insurance for £2300.

The cypress pointe website makes it look very attractive, but basically is it gonna be worth the extra dosh for the 2 bed apartment over the mini-suite at Springhill Suites.

One nagging doubt I have is that I asked directly whether Cypress Pointe was timeshare property and the agent said 'No' when it clearly is according to their own website, would we be subjected to any pressure sales pitch.

Sorry there are so many questions for my first post, but I need to make my mind up quick to take advantage of either offer.

PS my travel dates are the week before easter and the first week of easter itself 2004. (but thats another post!):smooth:

I must admit I don't really know Cypress Pointe at all, but my instinct would be to say that £300 would buy you a lot of meals and/or Disney goodies, and you will find the Springhill Suites pretty decent. The timeshare element might be a worry, too, hence I would stick with the cheaper option, especially if it's just for four of you.

Welcome to the DIS UK :) !

Hmmmmm............ I would go with your original to be honest.
You don't want to go to Orlando with a nagging doubt in your mind as to whether you will have to deal with Timeshare pressure and I am always suspicious of hard sell for one particular resort from an agent... and it is more expensive for less time!!

thanks to SimonV and WDWfan for the replies, I have taken their points on board and still trying to decide, any one else there got any recent experience of Cypress Pointe or Springhill Suites?
