Hello friends!! :wave2:

I am in the process of planning an early December 2008 trip for me (31) and my DH (40), my mother (54), my father (61), and my sister (26). We are a family who loves good food and likes having a nice dining experience. We will be staying for a week in a condo outside of disney (boo! :guilty: ) and will have a car so driving to resorts and parks for eating is not a problem. :drive:

This is where we have eaten in the past (as far as nicer/sit down meals)

Tony's town square
Sci-Fi Diner (love the burgers!)
Hoop De Doo Review
Boma (which DH and I loved :hyper:)
Ohana's (ooh, that bread pudding! My mom loved Ohana's - maybe we should do the dinner show here?)
A lot of the World Showcase restaurants (we tend to like Japan and I personally really liked The Rose and Crown)
Brown Derby (it's been a while!)
and I've eaten at Cinderella's Royal Table.

Where are some MUST EAT AT locations that we have never been to before? My husband and I LOVE being adventureous with our food and will try anything. We really like seafood and we tend to like spicy and bold flavors and DH has a HUGE sweet tooth! My mother will try new stuff but my sister and father can be a little more picky when it comes to food (but then again most everything at disney is good right?::yes::).

I look forward to hearing your suggestions! In particular I am curious about California Grill, Chef Mickey's, Yachtsman's Steakhouse, Yak and Yeti, and the restaurant at Wilderness Lodge which I can't remember the name of right now.. how are these places?

thanks everyone! :goodvibes

part of disney for us is great food, a big part, so here are our favorites:

Whispering Canyon Cafe is the place in the WL, and it is pretty good and fun environment...GO TO KONA CAFE at the Poly..it is sooooo good!!! We love Liberty Tree Tavern as well for the "homecooked meal". We have done the Spirit of Aloha dinner show too and it was a really nice show and really good food..I think you would like it!!

is Kona Café anything like Ohana's? They do a great breakfast at Kona Café don't they or would that be a good place for dinner as well? My mom LOVED Ohana's and wants to go there again but I'd like to try the Spirit of Aloha or even Kona Café just to try something different...

oh that I had all the time in the "world" to try all of the different restaurants! :wizard:
