Help me decide--August or October

I'm hoping for some help here. I have finally decided to definitely take a trip this year (I thought I was going to wait until next year).

Anyway, I have decided between either one of the last two weeks of August or the 2nd or 3rd week of October. My DD is to be homeschooled this year so I don't have to fret about her school schedule.

Last year we went in June and while we handled the heat just fine, it rained and rained and rained. I'm hoping to miss that somewhat this time. (I don't mind an afternoon shower, just not a torrential downpour for hours).

Does anyone have a suggestion?

Thanks!!

October, without question. Lower crowds, cooler weather, less rain. If you don't have to go in August, go during low season.

hi: another vote for october- just remember to pack accordingly. it can get a bit chilly in the evenings and early mornings.

Definitely October, weather-wise. I think the Orlando weather is very similar to the Mississippi Gulf Coast and October is usually one of the nicer months.

I'd say October as well. MNSSHP at MK and Food & Wine at Epcot!
