Help me decide- APs or more DCL sailings

So I honestly cannot decide. I had originally planned on severely cutting back on travel but with certain health news I want to spend every minute I can building memories with my kids. My DD21 is busy at university and work a lot but my DS16 is homeschooled and can travel a bunch.

So details- We live in NC. About 10 hours with stops driving from port or WDW. My DS16 is autistic.

Recently I have been feeling burned out somewhat on the parks but I wonder if that is due to me focusing too much on trying to accomplish a bunch? Perhaps if I feel like I can pop back easily I might not feel that pressure to “do it all”?

We also love to sail but have been on a bunch of DCL cruises in the last 24 months. And at a certain point the shows and fireworks etc are nice but not as wow as they used to be.

My DS tends to be treated very well by fellow teens on DCL. Something that does not happen in his day to day life. Also something to consider is food used to be a huge part of our trips (and I adore DCL food) but currently food isn’t as appealing and I can only eat small amounts.

Factoring in hotels, food, passes, we could do 2-3 sailings of between 5-7 nights over the next year or the APs (hotels, food, etc) for several shorter trips 4-5 to WDW.

What would you do? APs or DCL? Sadly the math for both doesn’t work for us.
