Help me decide... 7 nights on the Wonder, or 4 nights on Dream with WDW

Just a bit of a background, we have gone to WDW every year for the last few years. We may possibly go again this Fall.
We have cruised on the Magic (post-refurbishment) on a shorter cruise and on the Fantasy 7 night cruise.
Loved the 7 night cruise, not sure if it was because of the ship or because it was 7 nights.
We are looking to book a cruise in Fall of 2017.
It's down to one of these... November cruise out of Galveston on the Wonder which we haven't been on yet, 7 nights Western Caribbean OR
4 nights on the Dream early Oct 2017 and before that 3 nights at WDW, for a total of 7 nights as well.

One con for Disney Wonder is no CC on that cruise, I know there is also Bahamian out of Galveston, but I would rather do Caribbean as it's warmer. We've done CC when it's been cold and didn't enjoy it at all.
Plus for the Galveston cruise is that it's a little cheaper than doing the land & sea.

Drawback to the Dream cruise is that we don't know what kind of packages will come out for WDW in 2017, so our estimate is just an estimate at this point.

What am I now thinking of? I know it's all a matter of personal opinion, but what would you do?

I'm excited that either one would be a new ship for us :)

I will always opt for a longer cruise. Not that I don't love the parks, but four nights on a cruise doesn't seem like enough time to get really "in the zone" before you have to start thinking about disembarkation.

Does it have to be the Wonder? You could do another 7D itinerary that includes CC?

We just got off the Wonder this morning and we loved it. I can't imagine how awesome it will be post dry dock. We have sailed the Dream and Fantasy and all agree we like the Wonder the best. We would do 7 nights on the Wonder with no regrets. Either way enjoy!

This is good to know, we are set for Wonder March 2017 for first ever cruise.

I have to say, after 8 cruises on every ship but the Dream, the Wonder is hands down our favorite. I wanted to love the Fantasy, really (and not just because of how much it cost!) but all 11 of us agree, the Wonder is just magical.

I would definitely go for the 7-night cruise. The more days onboard the better. Now if Disneyland was involved, this might be a hard decision.

I would choose longer cruise definitely because I always enjoy longer cruises, 7 days is perfect cruise length, get a Disney fix and other things too. it is so nice and relaxing

The one difference that I have personally noticed with my family's WDW vs. our Disney cruises trips, is that we spend significantly more at the parks while ON vacation. With the longer cruise already less expensive than the land and sea deal, you could end up with a much less expensive vacation in the end by choosing the 7D cruise. What type of traveling would both require? Flights for both locations? Drive to one vs. flying to another? As far as fun goes, that would be a tough call to make. WDW is really fun during Halloween.

My wife and I just recently have a similar conversation, but our trip would be in the summer months of '17. Our choices are a 7D on the Fantasy or 2 days at WDW with a 5 days on the Dream with a double dip to CC. decisions... decisions...

We were on the Dream and did a 4D Bahamanian. It was so nice!

Definitely want to try the Dream, just wish it was 7 nights :) We did one short cruise and one long one, and definitely preferred the full week on the ship. But... if we could combine a shorter one with WDW that would be ok.
For now we booked the 7 nights on the Wonder, it will be after the ship is re-done, so I'm excited about that.
We are also keeping an eye out on the Dream this Fall when we go to WDW, to maybe add it on ;) If a last minute rate comes out for it.
