Help me decide - 1st or 2nd Fantasmic?

I'm planning to make reservations for the Fantasmic! dining package - trip is the week between Christmas and New Years, so the ADR date is coming up. I'm debating between Fantasmic! first show, then staying there to watch the fireworks, vs trying to watch the fireworks from Main Street and then going to Fantasmic! second show. We'll have one other evening at DLP but we'll be in Galaxy's Edge that night. We might hop over to DLP to get a third evening (we have four days total, 2 with reservations at DLP and two at DCA), but I don't want to count on it. I know the crowds are going to be crazy so the idea of just staying at F! and watching fireworks from there is appealing, but how much are we missing out by not seeing it from Main Street? We would definitely NOT be camping out hours in advance for a "good" spot so it would be from wherever in the crowds we land, basically.

I have done the first show and watched the fireworks from the same spot. It was incredibly convenient and I'd do it again. The downside is that the projections are going to be on water spray in front of you and the fireworks are kind of off to the side and can be partially blocked by trees. Id rather watch from there than deal with Main Street chaos, though.

First DLP = Disneyland Paris.

For Disneyland California we usually just say Disneyland and DCA, Disney California Adventures

I have been doing the first Fantasmic and staying for Fireworks for the last number of years. The only real main thing you miss is "the flyer" Dumbo / Tinkerbell (not sure which one is currently)

They use the Fantasmic mist fountains for the projections.
They use the Fantasmic sound system for the audio
You will see all the high level fireworks above the trees on Tom Sayer Island.

I always make sure to get to the railings when everyone stands up after Fantasmic. I have a clear view across the water and no pushing and shoving.

Its essentially 2 shows for one outlay.
