Help me deceide

We just got back from WDW last week, but already I'm trying to plan my trips or trip next year. Here are my two choices: My family of 3 can go next year for 7 days in March (during Mardi Gras week) and stay in a studio and then again for 7 days in Sept and stay at BWV STD view or another of the lower point 1 BR Villas. I only have 260 points and I don't want to borrow more. Or I can save my points and go for 8 days at BLT 1 BR LV in Sept. If we go in Sept we will be living back in Louisiana and able to drive. If we go in March we will have to fly, since we are living in OK now, and the price of the airline tickets are high during that time. I have to make a decision soon about the March trip. What would you guys do?

For me, two week long trips only 6 months apart might not be as special. I'd go for the one week at BLT for a couple of reasons but primarily becuase two trips means a lot of $$$-not just on airfare but tickets, food, etc.

Do you own at BWV? If you don't you may not be able to get the Standard view at BWV at 7 months out. OKW probably, but not BWV if that is a deciding factor.

No, I don't own BWV. We own at OKW and AKV, but I had no problem getting a BWV 1 BR Std view at 7 months out this last time. It's a great resort. But if I can't get it then I can book 11 months out at AKV. I need to deceide now if we should go back in March. I just bought annual passes and I would like to get my money's worth by making two trips next year. But even with DVC the trips still cost money.

Save a little money and go once in Sept in a larger villa for a few days longer. And you can drive instead of fly.

We used to go two or three times a year until we saw how much we were spending. YIKES. So we now go once a year for a little longer trip.

Except this year, we're heading down in Jan for the marathon for three nights. And I may have a meeting in Mar in Orlando (hope it's not Tampa again) and I can go to WDW at night since I also have an AP. Plus both my husband and son asked if they could go, too. We'll probably be offsite, but with the AP we can park for free.

For me, I prefer to go more often. I would definitely go twice.
