We are going in a month and I have a few too many TS meals booked (don't worry I don't have any double bookings at the same time ;) ) I am willing to pay for 1-2 out of pocket.

Arrival day - House of Blues (out of pocket as we won't be on plan then)
1st full day - Yak & Yeti lunch - have done this before and loved it - Ohana dinner - have done this lots and love it
2nd day - Via Napoli dinner (new)
3rd day - 50's Prime Time (done it twice and like it)
4th day - LTT lunch (never done it - will want dessert if consideration for OOP) - Chef Mickey dinner (wavering big time on this one)
5th day - Whispering Canyon Cafe (done it once on 1st trip - it was good)
6th day - Cape May breakfast (never done breakfast here) - Ohana dinner (don't need it twice, right?)
7th day - Les Chef de France (did this once but youngest was sick so I don't remember it at ALL)

Which two would you ditch? And out of those, which one would you pay out of pocket for? Time spent eating is not an issue, this is our 5th trip and some of our favorite rides will be closed so I think this is going to be a very laid back trip park wise and we will have time to linger over our meals. My kids are 11, 10 and 7 and one is a big eater, the other two not so much so on our OOP meals they might share if not an issue at the restaurant.

A few things to think about. Breakfast is cheaper then lunch or dinner, that is what I would pay oop. Onn some of your days you have a lunch and dinner. ?This is a lot of food for us and you may want to consider dropping one of those. I would also consider doing the conunter service yak and yeti in AK rather than the TS (just as good imo). I would only do O'hana once unless you are doing breakfast and dinner or staying at poly. We love the LTT btw well worth it. Hope these suggestions help!?!?:goodvibes

I am concerned about us being flat out stuffed on those days we have a lunch/dinner both scheduled. We have not done that before (usually get CS lunch) but lunch is early (11-ish) and we eat a small breakfast.....

I am excited to try LTT lunch, I hear good things about that :goodvibes

Two TS in a day is a lot of food and time spent eating. I would ditch one 'Ohana and do only 1 TS per day. If you find yourself with extra TS, maybe do a signature?

I would dump Chef Mickey's and your first Ohana dinner.

Reasoning:

You'll get Fab 5 characters elsewhere (at Cape May), and you said you're wavering on Chef Mickey anyway. Plus you already have lunch scheduled that day, so ditch the sit-down dinner since you won't be that hungry anyway.

Ditch the first Ohana (rather than the second one) because again, you already have a TS lunch that day. If you keep the second Ohana it's more manageable because you have TS breakfast and dinner.

We also had 2 too many table services. What I did was go read the menus and figure up how much our bill would be at each place. Then I chose the 2 least expensive and those two are our OOP places. For us, it is 50's Primetime and Sci-Fi.

Have fun on your trip!

If it were me and I had to cut two from your list, they would be Chef Mickey's an one of the Ohana dinners's :thumbsup2

We love all of the others. I'm getting hungry looking at your list! I could do with a Via Napoli pizza right now! :rotfl:

Thanks everyone! As much as it pains me to drop one of the Ohanas, we are always UNCOMFORTABLY stuffed after that meal, so we probably won't want to do that twice anyway. We are staying at the Boardwalk, and we may pop into ESPNZone to have an OOP dinner as well. Getting very excited but it's strange to not have the trip planned to the nth degree this time, I'm really shooting for a relaxed trip with lots of "smelling the roses" time and not so much commando.

I agree with this. If you are still thinking about paying OOP for some of your meals, I would look at LTT or Via Napoli depending on what you plan on ordering. You may want to split a pizza at Via Napoli and you can't do that on the dining plan.

I would dump Chef Mickey's for dinner. We love the breakfast there, but the dinner...not so much. Way different story. I'm torn between ditching LTT or your second O'hana. I'm a big fan of trying new restaurants. I loooove O'hana so I get eating there twice, but I also like to eat at other places so I can find new favs. However, I dislike LTT so much that I would rather eat at O'hanas twice. It wasn't horrible really, it's just not a memorable meal (in my opinion). Good luck deciding!

We always eat 2 TS a day, so that wouldn't be a problem for me. If I had to drop some though, I'd drop down to 1 TS a day. Like others, I'd drop one of the Ohana meals & the CM meal. Since you love Ohana, I'd drop the first one, so you have the other one to look forward to at the end of your trip. If you have a great experience at the first one, you may regret cancelling the 2nd one. Although I'd normally choose a TS dinner over breakfast or lunch, I'd stay with the LTT lunch. We don't like LTT dinner at all.

I agree with all of the other posters who recommend that you drop the first Ohana dinner and Chef Mickey.

But you still need somewhere for dinner on your AK day, and that park closes early. How about switching Ohana to Boma or Sanaa? If you do this, then I'd also cancel Y&Y TS and switch to Y&Y CS.

If you still need to pay OOP, I think your cheapest meals would likely be 50s PTC, Cape May breakfast or Sanaa (if you go with an AKL alternative)
