Help me cross Club 33 off bucket list?

I narrowly missed my once-in-a-lifetime chance at Club 33.
Oh that's terrible! Sorry to hear their marriage didn't work out, but also sorry that you didn't get to go when it seemed like a sure thing. :sad1:

The last time I got them, they were $22+/-. Just a warning, they didn't have them last Monday. BUT, make sure you pay with a credit card, and you will get a pen you can keep! They did have the Christmas pin, a shot glass, latte mugs, shirts, a scarf, and a few other items available last week. OH, the baseball cap! (MY daughter's prized possession.)

Sorry to have missed you there on Monday! I was surprised to see the ball cap and almost picked it up!

We were there at noon. We were the 6 with the service dog and the young lady who loved the "sparkly cupcakes." Did you have Angela for a server? If so, I think I saw you.

Yes! We were at the corner table, table of 4! I'll say hello next time now that I have a face to go with a name!

Michael

Pins...ears...mugs...etc. If I ever make it in there I'm going to end up breaking the bank :/

I'm bound know someone who knows someone who knows someone that is willing to get me in! hahaha

Did you get a reservation made for you? What a great birthday~Have a great time.

The limit of 50 park hoppers a member gets was a way to attempt to reduce the # of reservations. The average person, if asked to go to the Club, would do it back in the day because the price of the meal negated the PH price. Now the average Joe would not want to spend the price of admission + dining since most do not really understand the opportunity they are given.
A die hard Disney fan would do it in a second.

sssshhhhh but yes, we did get a reservation made, DD doesn't know yet so I'm hopeful she won't pop in here and see this. LOL Altho it probably wouldn't matter, she's going to be over the moon either way! LOL

Sorry, Kerri--
I can't remember. This was back in Febuary when we went. We also got a Club 33 pin, which is a great keepsake too.

Oh yes, the pin is already on my wish list. LOL

You mean the pen I get to sign with? Well that settles that, using the CC! LOL scarf......baseball cap....oh my.....LOL Thanks for the price, I will let her decide between the Glow ears and Club 33 ears. Hey, can they be personalized?

My sister's husband's uncle (got that?) had a membership to Club 33. My sister knew I liked Disneyland but didn't know the level of my fanaticism or my lifelong dream to visit club 33.

She went on a trip to DLR with his family. She came back and told me about the private club at Disneyland they had a lunch reservation for but they didn't feel like going and took a nap at the hotel instead.

I. Nearly. Died.

Once I relayed to them my dreams of visiting Club 33 (and had properly chastised them for brushing it off) they promised to get me on the list for my next trip to DLR.

Before that happened, my sister got a divorce and I narrowly missed my once-in-a-lifetime chance at Club 33.

Sigh.

My heart just broke for you :(

My son and daughter-in-law just returned from their honeymoon. Thanks to a wonderful friend I met indirectly through DIS, they were able to go to Club 33. The chef made them a special honeymoon cake and brought them a couple of very interesting items off the menu! They had a fabulous time. And...they brought me a latte mug :thumbsup2. I have the ball cap, 33 ears, a holiday pin and keychain, all sitting pretty in my glass cabinet. I wear the cap sometimes and use the keychain occasionally. I loved wearing the ears while at DLR.

I was trying to keep it quiet but I sort of blew it in this thread didn't I? LOL

Good luck!! Trust me, dreams do come true!! :)

pixiedust:Add me to the list of longing to dine at Club 33...I offered my friend of a friend of a friend a night at the Grand Californian for reservations at 33....still waiting to hear!!!:goodvibes

To anyone listening... This die hard Disney fan will do it in a second!
No need to waste an admission on me, I'll pay for my own admission, heck, I'll pay for yours for the day, too!:thumbsup2

:lmao: right?

thats a crock...i dont believe anyone who legitimately has access to Club 33 would do that...they arent going to want to have their name smeared or worse have their membership revoked because of unruly people they allowed in off of CL:rolleyes2

That is SO Awesome! Didn't you arrange for them to stay in a special suite as well?

Not to mention I'm pretty sure that's against the terms/service agreement of being a member.

That is SO Awesome! Didn't you arrange for them to stay in a special suite as well?

Yes...they stayed in the Fairytale Suite at DLH! They said it was AMAZING. The carpet is made of real silk! It's directly next door to the concierge lounge and concierge is included. The suite is on the corner so there is an amazing view plus lots of cool gizmos. Apparently, when you enter the suite, Tinkerbell flies around magically lighting things up, including a crystal castle encased in the wall. There is a mirror in the bathroom that turns into a TV, a steam shower with a bench, and lots of remote-controlled thingies.

Just an FYI for others...the Fairytale Suite is not a bad deal IMO. I mean, it's pricey, but you get a lot for the money. If you go in off season it isn't too bad ($650/night) considering it includes concierge and is a signature suite. It isn't huge, though, and only has a king bed so that's why it isn't as much as the other suites.

It also has an awesome view of the fireworks.

Sorry to hijack the thread, OP!! I know what an amazing thing it is to get to go to Club 33 and truly hope everyone here will get a chance!!

Pixiewings, have a blast!!!! I'm so glad you get to go!!

I was this.close. to having lunch at Club 33 this past April. I had my reservation, my plane tickets, my unabashed excitement...

Then my mother-in-law became ill 2 weeks before our scheduled trip. We had to cancel the reservation in order to be by her side, and she passed away a few days later. :rose::angel: I was a tiny bit disappointed to give up the reservation, but absolutely nothing would have kept me from her side those last days. I miss her so much.

We have not been able to secure reservations again. Ah well -- sometimes the beauty of a dream is in the dreaming!!

OP - My advice to you is to ask everyone single person you know if they have any connections to Club 33. Spread the word about your desire to eat there - you may just get hit with pixie dust! Good luck!

Hi,

Were you able to keep the suite a secret from them? Were you able to get a CM to take pictures of their reaction when they first saw the room? I remember you asking about the suite but I didn't see the follow up after the fact. The photos are gorgeous! So glad it worked out for you/them.

Rhonna :)

(yeah, this thread will be longer than other Club 33 requests since we are all hi-jacking it! ;) )

In my opinion you are totally correct. I only post on this site because I have loved Disney for many years, but i feel a number of people here are my vitual/actual friends. I may have somes conflicting views but i find it entertaining watching some of the posts and hopefully adding some wisdom and a few photo's to go along with the experiences.

Jack

I always appreciate your perspective! And good luck to the op in fulfilling her dream!

Hmmm... I do really want to go to Club 33, but I'm not sure I want to go to club 33 via something shady like that. :scared:

The real giveaway in that ad is that he says he is willing to barter for AP's or park hoppers. A Club 33 member wouldn't need those things, so if he even does have access to the club, he is clearly not the member.
