I have not eaten at any of those places but from what I've heard, I would try Biergarten.

If you really want Chef Mickey's, just keep checking back. I'd make another ADR in the meantime, but something might open up. We're going in mid September during free dining (though we aren't on the DDP) and I was able to get a CM's breakfast on one of our free mornings, and then change it to dinner on our arrival night, within the past month. :thumbsup2

Of those choices, we have only been to WCC. We have enjoyed it a couple of times, so I would recommend this one. Plus WL has lots to explore and you can watch the electric water pageant after dinner.

And just to add more to the mix....
'Ohana or 50's Prime Time Cafe.
These to me are really fun. The benefit of 'Ohana is watching Wishes either from the restaurant or the Poly beach.

I don't know what kind of food you like but DH and I enjoyed Sanaa and Boma from AKL a lot! If you like fried chicken, try 50's prime time cafe at DHS. I have tried Biergarten. It was just ok.

Of the choices you gave, I would choose Biergarten.

I would also like to give 'Ohana as a suggestion. The food is delicious, and we love the fun, Hawaiian atmosphere.

Thanks guys!!

We have Ohana planned for later in the trip and I am most excited for that one!!

I don't love Chef MIckeys food but its a great kick off to our 8 day vaca!!

as of know we have Biergarten booked but keep the comments coming!!!
they are super helpful!!!!

50s is on my must do list and I would like to fit whispering canyon in too!

Schedule a dusk BOMA dinner then go outside and view the animals with the night vision goggle...A good use of a day that will mostly be checking in and unpacking...

Ohana followed by fireworks on the beach would also be an excellent start.

Nothing welcomes you to Disney like the Hoop Dee Doo...

I would go with one of those 3....

Out of the ones you listed, I would take Biergarten. If you are going with kids, T-Rex. Food is just like Rainforest - not fantastic but good. You didn't mention what park you wanted to start off with but Sci-Fi or 50's at DHS, 1900's Park Fare (love the step-sisters when they sing Nightingale). MK - see if you can get BOG. AK - Tusker House.

There are so many to choose from!

Sci Fi and 50s are a lot of fun!!!! Biergarten is fun too with the band but can feel over crowded and not everyone loves festival seating (sitting with a group you're not with to fill the 8 person table). I love the Garden Grill! The food is really tasty and there are characters and you rotate (slowly) so the scenery changes.
