Whispering Canyon Cafe OR Japanese Teppanyaki

For dinner in MGM:

H&V (fantasmic pkg) OR 50s prime time cafe

ps: the night in MGM they will have 2 showings of fantasmic so I figured it wasnt absolutely necessary to do the package. If anyone has gone when they had 2 showings did you find the above to be true?

I know there are a few people who like H&V but it's onmy never to do list since 1999.

Fantasmic is always crowded, even when there are 2 shows. Yet I've never done the package. All seats are good here.

I think the only time it wasn't crowded was one year it was raining, they canceled the first showing. We went to the second showing, it was still misting. Stopped just in time for the show to start. I remember getting a seat right in the middle half way down. I also remember there wasn't much difference sitting in the middle.

I would choose Whispering Canyon for a few reasons. 1) You get to see the beautiful WL, 2) there have been tons of negative comments about Teppanyaki's service and 3) most people have "that kind" of restaurant in their town making WC maybe the more unique experience.
At MGM, I would pick 50's Prime Time. 1) I ate there in September and it was great food. Get the fried herb cheese appetizer & the pb&j shake- yum! 2) there have also been lots of negative comments about H&V (basically it's your average buffet food) and 3) 50's is a totally unique eating experience that everyone should try at least once. That's my 2 cents! :0)

We like Teppanyaki over Whispering Canyon (it's definitely not whispering, that's for sure, LoL). We go to both places for lunch and WCC has more sandwiches and salad type foods.

For dinner, I'd personally do 50's. We always do the Fantasmic package (we're doing MM this time) because we did H&V and it was just okay. It wasn't bad, but not great either. We prefer food to order over buffets.
