I have less than a month until I make my ADRs. Anyway, we are set on most of our choices for dinner but cannot decide on the remaining two.

Definites (all repeats & faves from previous trips):
-Cape May Cafe
-50s Prime Time Cafe
-Ohana
-Hoop Dee Doo

99.9% sure on:
-Turf Club Bar & Grill

I need to choose only two of these:
-Tutto Italia (We like Olive Garden - is this gonna be wierd to us??)
-La Hacienda de San Angel (We've been to San Angel Inn one time, FWIW.)
-Les Chefs de France (Too fancy-schmancy?)
-Tony's Town Square (Just to have a MK TS meal?)
-Kona Cafe (Not sure about 2 meals in Poly but DH insists on Ohana.)

Which two would you pick? Why? Let me know what you think!
Thanks in advance!!

We're trying Tutto and Les Chefs in December so I can't say for sure but we are excited about trying them! I haven't been to La Hacienda either. Kona was great in May so I can definitely recommend that.

But I can say I would NOT recommend Tony's. It's the only meal I've ever had in WDW that I do not wish to ever repeat (and we've tried it twice). Tony's gets very mixed reviews but we're in the "never again" category for it.

Good luck with your choice! :goodvibes

I would choose La Hacienda because it's new and then it's a toss up between Chefs and Kona for the other adr.

Have tried Chefs de France and would not go back - the food was just OK and we were still hungry when we walked out, which has never happened to us at any Disney restaurants on the dining plan. Haven't tried the other ones you listed so can't comment on those.

The food at Kona is outstanding. You also can't go wrong with an after dinner mai tai on the beach watching Wishes and the Electrical Light Paegent.

I found this about Tutto Italia from the easywdw.com web site:) You can go there and check out the other restaurants its a free web site.

Advantages: Tutto serves the best, most authentic Italian food at Disney World outside of Il Mulino at the Swan resort. Service is attentive and charmingly Italian. Every meal includes bread with dipping oil and marinated olives and peppers.

Disadvantages: Tutto is one of the most expensive restaurants at Disney World with most entrées exceeding $25. Tables are close together and it can get crowded. Entrées are served so quickly it seems like they must be prepared beforehand.

Value: Poor to average. Although the quality of the food is high, it’s difficult to justify a $25 Caesar salad or $30 bowl of pasta. The prices are too high and I would not recommend this restaurant if paying out of pocket. Tutto is a perfect restaurant on the Dining Plan since its cost is prohibitive otherwise.

Reputation: This is another fairly recent addition to the Epcot lineup. The setting of the restaurant is quite pleasant and service is generally excellent, although your waiter may not communicate well because of the language barrier. The food here is generally more authentic and better tasting than you would find at the Olive Garden or either Mama Melrose’s at the Hollywood Studios or Tony’s at the Magic Kingdom. I would visit Tutto Italia on the Dining Plan, but would think twice before making a reservation out of pocket due to its hefty price tag.

Thanks for all the input! It looks like Kona is a definite winner!! Now I just have to figure out which other one to choose. Any other opinions out there? :)

I would go for Tony's - just ate there last Sat and my dinner was very good!
Also ate at San Angel Inn and it was very good. My 13 yo granddaughter couldn't find anything on the menu she liked:confused: but our waiter asked her what she did like and he had the chef prepare something special for her. Who knew, I was ready to ask for chicken strips.
I would skip Les Chefs de France - our service was really bad but everyone elses seemed fine, small portions and so, so noisy.

Definitely Kona, we love it there!

We haven't been to any of the others you've mentioned.

Kona & Tutto would be my recommendation based on what you listed. But that's partly because I haven't been to the newer restaurants in Epcot yet.

how about via napoli? its beside tutto

we loved portobellos but its not on the DDP--as italians off the boat--heehee
that was the most authentic we saw---yuuummmmm

we heard too many negs on tutto so i was afraid to try crazy i know....i guess it just depends on the chef that night and what is ordered etc

Tony's has wonderful charm and the food is always good IMHO! :cheer2:
We also love Chefs de France, but Kona sounds great (haven't eaten there yet) so go with the majority on that. :flower3:

Have a wonderful time making your ressies and counting down your trip!pixiedust::dancer:

Looks like the winner by a landslide is... KONA!!! 2nd place goes to Tony's. These two have always been on my "to do" list so now I'm going to move them to my "We're going to" list!

Thanks for all your input!! I really appreciate it! :thumbsup2
