I will try to post a picture but I can't decide.

They are both 3/4 carat, five diamond yellow gold bands.

#1. From Kay jewelers in the mall. Good price, 40% off the ticket. 14K yellow gold, five chanel set diamonds inwhite gold setting. Was able to look at and loved it. Setting was more unique than the standard common prong setting and looks beautiful with my single round stone engagement ring.

#2. From Blue Nile where we bought my engagement ring. $200 more that #1. 18K gold five common prong set diamond in platinum settings. Haven't seen but is the matching band to my engagement band. Common Prong setting isn't as unique but nice.

Confusion? 18K vs 14K. My engagement ring is 18K. Slight color difference with the 14K wedding band with my 18K, barely noticeable to me, unnoticeable to DFIance... can't see the wedding band from the top because of the diamonds, so you can only see the slight, very slight, color difference from the side or bottom. Price difference enough to make buying at Kay worthwhile to have someone to go to with problems.

I have had no problem buying my enagagement ring through Blue Nile but with more stones come more problems so going through Kay is a draw. If I didn't feel the value at 40% off was good, I wouldn't even think about it so it's a good deal.

Oh the color and clarity of the five diamonds is identical. Please help!!

It's the one in the first row, second column. That's not the price I was quoted.

I get 10% off this one through work...

I don't know what to do! :( Thanks for the help!

Is Blue Nile only available on-line? Sorry I am not familiar with them. I like the Blue Nile one best. At Kay's you do not always get the best quality either.

the Blue Nile ring is a no-brainer to me. You won't like a mixed 14K/18K ring combination. Look how solid the prongs are on it as well.
I'm not a big fan of diamonds from the retail outlets such as Kays. They are lower quality stones and gold.
Kay's has a fundraising arm of their company and you'd be surprised how low they can go and still make a profit. That shows me they get the stuff pretty cheap.
Get your engagement rings mate --they will make a wonderful impact together on your finger.

Kay's screwed up my wedding band/wrap when they were sizing it...and they did not pay attention or help me to understand that the color and quality of the diamonds between my engagement and band were not the same.

That aside. I like the looks of the Blue Nile better.

I personally would NEVER buy from a jewelry store in a mall. We go to a place where you pick the setting, then hand pick the diamonds. I know we pay more, but they stand behind their merchandise and I am 100% sure of what I am getting!

Good luck!!

I'd go with the mate to your engagement ring.

I vote for the one that matches your engagement ring.

Thanks for asking!;)

I really LOVE the look of channel set diamonds - but in your case I think I'd go with the one that matches your engagement ring.
What a fun dilemma to have.

;)

thanks for all the updates... it seems pretty obvious which one I should go with!

You are going on a cruise after your wedding....

How about just a band of gold until the cruise? You could get such a beautiful one in the islands especially if you are going to St Thomas or St Maarten on your itinerary?

I bought a channel set band with 1.75 total carat weight of diamonds. Each diamond is quite large.I bought it at Little Switzerland (owned by Tiffany) and bartered my way to $900. When I got home to Canada it was appraised for more than 4x that price.

Just a thought....

Just wanted to add that I like the Blue Nile one better also.:D
