We're obviously staying off site from Disney. WHY DIDN'T I THINK OF THAT BEFORE?! For $100 a night I can either stay on site at Disney to have a room the size of my bedroom, or stay off site for something that's half the size of my house!!! :cool1:

Right now it's between these resorts:

WorldQuest.
Wyndham Bonnet Creek
Blue Treet Resort - At Lake Buena Vista
Lake Buena Vista Resort Village and Spa
Staybridge Suites at Lake Buena Vista

Ahhhh I just don't know! :confused3

I looked at World Quest, but in all honesty, their front page had so many spelling errors, AND the phone number at the bottom is actually disconnected, that it turned me off completely. I don't like giving business to people who can't be professional enough to run spell check. I did call them up just now and tell them that I was considering them but now I am not because of their page and that they should look at it.

We're staying off property for the first time in a very LONG time this year. I agree with you, for less money we are staying @ the Caribe Royale in a 2 room suite (king bed with a full size pull out couch), a fridge, microwave & all the other perks you want when traveling with a 16 yr. old.

We are going down the week of Thanksgiving & the All Star Movie price I was quoted was $139 a night (Fla resident price) the price for the Caribe Royale was $122 a night. BTW, it's my daughters birthday so we got a free night!!!!! We pay for 4 nights instead of 5, no parking fee & no resort fee. We joined STASH (their rewards card) & will get free wifi.

Needless to say DD & DH are VERY excited about it.

depends - is all your time going to be at WDW

then Wyndham Bonnet Creek

it sometime is spend shopping or other non-Disney stuff then WorldQuest (it got a good review here) or LBV resort village and spa

Most of our time will be spent at Disney, yeah. We are going to Universal one day. We'll be going to some beach for a bit 1 day. I do want a resort that's pretty close to Disney though

Bonnet Creek is on WDW roadways...right next to the Caribbean Beach resort. Very close to everything! We stayed there last year and have a reservation for 2 weeks for next June. I loved the location:goodvibes

I like Lake Buena Vista fairly well, and all these (and the Caribe as previously mentioned) are close to Disney, within 10-15 minutes drive to any of the parks and some of the Disney hotels are that far away too! I will second Caribe, as it is our current favorite property in Orlando. We go up to @$200 per night but we get a 2 bedroom suite there for that money. We love Caribe, great beds, very clean, great pool area, good restaurants, etc. It is on World Drive, so within 10 minutes of the Disney parks, about 20 minutes to Universal. For beaches, you are probably talking about either gulf @ Clearwater/St Pete or out to Daytona/Cocoa. For either one, from the Disney area you are approx an hour and a half away driving, so just depends on which beach you want.
