What started out as a quick and cheap family road trip has morphed into a Disney dream trip! We just keep letting this trip get bigger and bigger (which is okay with me!). But now we have a challenge...

Our original plan: Drive to Disney on a Sunday/Monday, spend Tuesday at MK, take Wednesday as a resort day, spend Thursday at MK again, drive home Friday and Saturday. Quick and cheap, see? The goal was just to bring our two-year-old to Disney for the first time and do MK only.

Our new plan: Fly down on Sunday and rent a car, use Monday as a "getting settled" day (grocery shopping, resort and pool time, probably visit Downtown Disney or Boardwalk area), keep Tuesday and Thursday as MK days and Wednesday as a resort day. However, now that we fly back on Saturday, we've added Friday as a park day.

If you had an energetic, curious, bright, outgoing, and well-behaved two-year-old girl, which park would you add on Friday? I initially thought AK, but now I'm not sure! Epcot is our absolutely favorite, but that was before a kiddo.

Any suggestions from experienced parents? WWYD?

I'd go ahead and do EPCOT.....at 2 years she is going to be enamored by all the things to see and EPCOT has so much color and dimension to it. You say she is outgoing, and the WS CMs will interact with her a lot more than in most parks.

Start her on a love of your favorite park.

For "my" kids, definitely AK. But, I'd also nix your 2nd MK day and do that one at Epcot :lmao:

Agree with Aaarcher - Playhouse, Muppets & Ariel would probably grab her attention.

I would go with Epcot, especially with all the KidCot activities in the World Showcase. It's completely free and I've heard from a lot of folks that that was their kid's favorite thing! Also, there are a lot of possible character interactions in the world showcase.

That way you two get to see your favorite park and your daughter has fun!

Skip the resort day and getting settled day and do them all. :lmao:

I totally agree with this. Sounds like a lot of wasted to me. Just add a few days to your passes, and do all the parks. If you all get tired and have to leave a park early, no big. Maybe do Animal Kingdom on your "resort day", because you'll likely be done with AK by 3 or 4, then spend the afternoon at the resort. As for the getting settled day, what exactly is there to do that will take a whole day.

I'd skip downtown disney vs. Skipping a park. It's basically an outdoor shopping mall. Some of the stores are neat, but mostly it's a giant gift shop

Probably HS with all the Playhouse Disney stuff. Or just do MK again.

Yes, HS for sure! DD loved HS in December ( she was 2 yrs, 4 months at the time). Disney JR, The Little Mermaid, Toy Story, Beauty and the Beast, Frozen, Muppets 3D, and Fantasmic. She just really enjoyed it. Much more so than epcot and AK.

I agree with Epcot. Especially since it is your fave. When my son was 2 his absolute fave ride the whole trip was Little Nemo. Plus Kid Cot is so fun with the coloring and cast interaction. And there are plenty of characters you can meet. If you have the Disney Visa you can do the private meet and greet with a few of the main 5, but if not you can do the public meet and greet. Also, Belle is usually around France.

She may be a bit young for the Phineus and Ferb hunt, but I highly recommend it. The coolest thing is that when you follow the clues some of the scenery interacts with the phone they give you. She may love that. And you can just do one country if you choose, so little time commitment.

With that said, my son loved HS too. But if I had to choose Epcot or HS, it would always be Epcot for me.

Also, we had started our trip, when he was 2, with going back for naps, but he could never settle down, so by day 3 we decided to just let him nap in the stroller and we would just sit back and take in the scenery or take turns taking our other son on rides. It made for a better trip for us. I know each child is different so that may not work for her, however I wanted to add that because everyone was telling me to do the first thing and I thought that would be best, but it was the latter that really worked and we felt much more relaxed (since he wasn't running around screaming and frustrating us because he wasn't getting his nap in).

Enjoy!!!!

I would lean towards Epcot because of Nemo, Mexico boat ride and Figment- all great rides for small children.

At HS though, you do have the Muppets, Little Mermaid show, Frozen sing along and playhouse disney, so that would be a great choice too.

Maybe get a park hopper and do a half day at each? Or do 1 1/2 days at Mk, half day at HS and full day at Epcot.

Our 2 year olds favorite parks in order are;
MK (of course! Lol)
DHS - Frozen sing along/disney junior/toy story mania
Epcot - this one is so spread out she is just always tired here :(
AK - only really likes the safari. And it can get really hot here - my little one hates being hot. She also is kind of scared of Dinos so that pretty much ends it right there for this park :(
