Are they needed like weeks, months or even days in advance? I was going to buy a GC for Bubba Gumps and DH is freaking out that we won't be able to eat there when we go. We will be there Dec 19-26th. So do I have to make a reservation will I be able to just make one that day or the day before?

I don't believe Bubba Gump's takes any reservations. You may have to wait some, but I'm sure you'll be able to get in. One tip I've gotten that seems to work, is to eat at odd times when people don't usually eat. Like doing lunch at 11am instead of between 12-1. Hope this helps!!

Yeah, eat at odd times for one...but you definately need ressies! So make sure you call the day you go, like around 11 or so. No need to worry, we called from the park when we got there and still got good ressies for Tchoup Chop....a far cry from BG's

There's a dining cart in Citywalk. Just stop there and make all your reservations on the day you go. I've never ever made reservations at Bubba Gump's and I've always been able to get in fairly quickly.

The only restraunt I would make ressies for is Margaritaville. The rest I pretty much walk right in,even during peak months..

I've eaten at most of the restaurants at Universal/City Walk, and I've never made a single reservation. Margaritaviles, Tchoup Choup, Mythos, etc. Now that is to not say we didn't wait a little, but I don't recall waiiting over 15 minutes from walking up. Of course if you are going at a super peak time this may be different, but last trip for me was in mid July, which is pretty peaky then and didn't have any trouble.

We were at US/IOA in April during spring break and didn't make a single reservation. We ate at Margaritaville, Bubba Gumps, Hard Rock Cafe, NBA City, and the Kitchen (Hard Rock Hotel). The only place we waited for a table was at Margaritaville and that was only for about 15 min.
