Help! Magic bands.

I'm starting to panic as I've realised our holiday is only 35 days away. We've only booked the esentials (flight, hotel and WDW tickets). My main question for now is the magic bands. Do we need to do anything about them or, will the tickets be on them automatically? I've been on the website to choose colour on them. But there's nothing else I need to do? I know I need to book the FP+ if I want them, but we haven't planned any park days or anything yet.

You will need to link your tickets to My Disney Experience to be able to book FP+. Are you staying onsite? If not, you won't automatically receive Magic Bands, although you will be able to purchase them if you wish.

As you have said you have chosen the colours of your bands I am assuming you are staying onsite.

To get your tickets on your MagicBands they just need to be linked in your MDE account but it is worth just double checking with the front desk to make sure they are there as I still don't entirely trust Disney IT to work as it should

Okay, yeah we're staying at POFQ. How do I link the tickets? They're automatically showing up under tickets and passes, so are they already linked? We booked the hotel, tickets and dining plan in a package...

By the way, we decided to book two extra days for our holiday, and instead of extending our package, we made a separate booking for a different resort the last two days, will we be able to keep using our magic bands from the first reservation if we still got tickets on them?

If you booked a package then your tickets will automatically be on your MBs.

Once you have your MBs you can continue to use them as they just read the information in your MDE account. They do not store anything other than the identifier for that band.

If you are staying at a second Disney hotel you will get another set of MBs and once you have them you can use them interchangeably
