Help! Local shop will not print shirts without release from Disney

I am attempting to purchase a large group of shirts for our upcoming Disney cruise meet. I have tried three different on line companies, and none of them will print them. I went to a local printer, and was advised that they needed a release from Disney stating I have permission to use the images. I told them that the image was for personal use only and there would be no profit made off of the shirts. Is there any written interpertation that states that images can be used for personal use? Thanks.

I am really hoping to aviod printing 60 - 70 shirts on my own. However, It looks like the route I might have to take. Any input would be greatly appreciated!

Unfortunately since the print shops are in business for profit, they cannot print copywrited material without a release from the owner. You can go to zazzle.com and choose from the ones they have and have them print your own sayings.

This may be too late for you, but even the design your own t shirts on the disney website make you word their name specifically, like putting "the" in front of Disney cruise. The companies have to follow the strict guidelines, and they can't be sure that when you buy so many shirts that you aren't trying to sell some.

I have two Brother Disney embroidery machines, and I usually just buy Hanes colored t shirts and embroider them. This year so far I've just gone to the disneyonline store and bought the current t shirt (antenna balls) when they were on sale for $3.99, then I also got 25% off that!! What a bargain! But now after reading these posts I think I may embroider something on the back!
