Help! Leaving in 8 hours! Dining plan?

I should have asked this a long time ago but here it is. I have a 18 month old toddler and we are going to be on the dining plan. I was told he eats for free? What does this mean? He gets his own meal for free? He eats for free off of our plates? What about at counter service? Thanks so much!

He shares with you for free. He can have his own plate at buffet style restaurants. Counter service meals he can share with you, but no he doesn't get his own meal. HTH!
