My Husband told me tonight he would like to take me to Disneyland for the weekend of May 9th (Fri) to May 11th (Sun) It would just be me and him (He got a sitter) We live in Seattle and are on a tight budget. Can anyone give me some advice on best airfare, hotel deals, etc.... to make this affordable?? Thanks so muchpirate:

I like bookingbuddy.com to easily research airfares on all the major websites at once. From there, if you want an even better deal, once you find the flights you want, go to the airlines website and price it out on their site. It often will be cheaper than anywhere else. But bookingbuddy.com helps to filter the flights.
I would check biddingfortravel.com for bidding tips on Priceline. Since you are taking a last minute trip, you may be able to find a good deal on Priceline for a 3* hotel. I wouldn't go lower than 3* because you could really end up in a dive. Some people have gotten really great deals at Marriot or Hyatt. Depends if there is a convention in town, etc.
Are you renting a car? Bookingbuddy also has the ability to check all the car rental places online at once. Again, I would compare and then price out individual websites to see if they are even cheaper.
Also, check getawaytoday.com for hotel and park ticket packages. They have good prices sometimes and they have 2 Magic Morning early entry w/ each ticket.
Good luck!

ETA: Also check Southwest airlines' website as they do not partner w/ other airlines and that's the only way to check their prices. They will not show up in a booing website like Expedia or Travelocity.

He got a sitter for Mothers day? As much as I love disneyland, I dont think I would want to spend my mothers day there with out my kids.

Not a lot of cost saving tips, other then price it out many different ways ie: booking everything sperate, a package, etc. Be sure to check various airports. SNA and LGB are both great ones to fly into. If you have a costco card check them for good savings on rentals cars. I know that we can get a car from budget that weekend (thurs-mon) for a total of $76 including all taxes and fees.

Hey, I never saw Bookingbuddy before. That is a great site. Thanks!

Check southwest they usually have cheap fares. We almost went mother's day weekend as well, but decided against it, since it will only be 3 days 2 nights for us we wanted the most out of our money. And I know we will feel short changed on Mother's day with all the crowds. There are some cheap but good hotels accross the crosswalk from Disneyland from $89 bucks a nite and up, and buy your tickets thru Disneyland.com to save money as well. Then prebudget your food and you will do great.

Go to southwest.com and download "Ding" They have amazing deals on airfare.

Also, virgin america and jetblue

I recommend checking HOJO for their entertainment rates. Never know...
They do also offer 15% off for Dis boarders. Maybe call Loreille (sp?) and see what sort of Mother's Day special she can cook up for you.

No car is really necessary, just grab the shuttle or a cab and go from there.

Have a wonderful time. I sure wish my husband would surprise me with a trip one day!
