Flying out tomorrow. It's about that time to cancel a few reservations that I made "just in case" but I should have researched this more earlier. I have 8 TS with one being CRT so really 6 more and two other ones are part of the F! Package. I suspect that at the other 4 TS not all of my party of 4 will eat a full meal. Probably sharing a meal here and there. Based on what I've read so far it seems that as long as we show up and half of the party actually partakes then I won't be charged the $10 fee but I'm wondering if I should keep an extra TS or two to anticipate this so I don't have extra TS hanging around. I fly out in 8
Hours and first reservation is in 36 hours. Oh man!

As long as you show up you should not be charge, the 10 bucks per person. Make sure to cancel in the allotted time or you will be paying the 10 bucks per person. My friends decided when they were walking up to Chefs not to have dinner, so they told the hostess they wanted to cancel and they decided to do something else, and they walked off, when they went to check out at the resort there was a 60.00 charge for a no show at Chefs. They tried to get it taken off and did the whole manager thing. In the end the paid the 60.00 dollars.

How long are you going for ? and how do you tour? That should be taken into consideration.

We normally do 1 table service a day, but there are times when we do character breakfast, grab a snack or share a QS, then a nice sit down at the end of the day.

Have a wonderful time.

I think you are correct, as long as part of your party shows you will be alright and you want have to pay the 10 per person. We have had this happen before when others decided not to go last minute. But for the sake of others, please cancel the ones you dont want sooner than later, just so it opens options for those looking for a place.

While you have had all these "just in case" ADR's, other families have been unable to schedule any. Pretty selfish IMHO.

As others have stated, as long as at least one of your party shows up, you will not be charged the no show fee. And as has been requested, please cancel the excess ADR's as soon as you can.

I understand over booking initially. I will general book a prepark opening ADR in at least two parks when my window opens. I also have a pretty good touring plan in place when I call, and book all of the restaurants my family may want. And then I begin the real task of being realistic in regards to what we want, and begin tweaking the plan. I have ditched all excess ADR's long before we are near ready to go.

I agree with hopefully. People are trying to get some adr still and you have extras that you might be cancelling. I get the booking a couple extra at the 180 point but I would have cancelled anything I was not going to be doing long before this so other people would have the chance to book them.
