DDprincess: and DS pirate: have told us they really want to do Nemo. Any recommendations when would be the best day to do this. We arrive May 30 (Fri) and leave June 4th (Wed) staying at PP.

Do you have an MM? It seems the recommendation around here is to do it first thing on an MM, which is what I did when I went in Feb. We pretty much walked on, and also had time to walk on SM and Buzz. I've also heard the line is pretty short at the end of the day, but I've also heard differently...

I was there during spring break, so with major high crowds I never saw the line under two hours... EXCEPT during our MM entry. We were there early and walked quickly to the line... and still had a 45 min wait. I am sure you will have much better luck as I am guessing the end of May will not be as crowded.

About going at closing. I had a CM tell me they ran the Nemo line until 2 am one night during spring break :scared1: .

I say the earlier the better.

if you dont have MM then go on a day it's not offered such as wednesday and get in line first thing in the morning. remember you will have to walk past the matterhorn that early and around it to get in line for nemo.. you cannot cross through tomorrowland. So taking the monorail will not help you.

We were there during spring break as well. It was record breaking crowds. I hope the crowds aren't as bad when you were there!:scared1:

We were determined to do Nemo. MM was at 7 a.m. We got to the security station by 6:10 a.m. We were first in line (barely; there were 30 people behind us within 10 minutes), and first in line at our turnstile. They opened the turnstiles at 6:50, and most everyone RAN (and I mean flat out ran, in spite of the CMS calling, "please don't run"). There was a rope drop at the end of Main street. They wound back the rope just before 7 a.m., asking us to please wait till they said go... at the stroke of 7 (the guy was watching his cell phone clock) they said "go"... and again, everybody at the rope RAN around to the back of the Matterhorn. We got on the first sub.

It was INSANE. Such a fuss for what is essentially a cute ride. I've read here that you can see the video in an adjacent viewing room that is for those with disabilities and are unable to get onto the subs. Apparently the wait is pretty minimal for that. If I wanted to see it again I'd do that.

I guess I'm glad we can say we did it, but we enjoyed touring Fantasyland much more, at a leisurely pace, walking on all the rides, on our other MM.

As I said, though-- it was spring break. Hopefully yours will be a little calmer. If your kids like to stay up late and do well with that, maybe the method of doing it just before closing would work?

Good luck!:goodvibes

Definitely take advantage of the MM if you get it. If not get to the front gates at least 30 minutes before opening (since you are going in summer, get there at least 1 hour early!) and once the rope drops, dash to Nemo.

That is unless you want to wait for it later in the day. I would ride Peter Pan and dumbo first because their lines are WAY worse later in the day

We were just there on Sunday the 13th. I didn't want to attempt the MM Nemo rush with 5 kids in tow (don't worry, we still used our entire mm, just not for the subs), so I decided to check the sub line during the fireworks. It was a 15 minute wait!!:cool1: We were able to watch the fireworks from the Nemo line, and then hop on the ride with zero stress! Also, I know that others who were there that week have reported differently, but from what I saw, the longest lines were about 1/2 hour after the park opened each day. Those who ran to Nemo certainly got on without a wait, but if you don't want to watch the fireworks in front of the castle, I think that our option worked great, too.

We were there this past Wed - Sun and the shortest line we found was right after the 10:30 p.m. showing of Fantasmic. We got to Nemo just after 11 pm and waited only 20 minutes. :) Every other time we checked it was a 60-90 minute wait!

I just pulled a Ridemax on it and your best bet for Friday would be at 9:07 am for about a 20 minute wait. After that, you are looking at an to hour and a half the rest of the day. Even at 11:10pm it's stilling showing a 40 minute wait. I love Ridemax! You guys should try it!

Thanks everyone for your advice. I figure I'll have at least one MM since we will be getting a 5 or 6 day park hopper. We're staying at PP so hopefully that will allow us more MM's. If I do get MM's, would you choose Sun or Mon(I think MM's are offered on Sat, Sun, Mon & Thurs?). There's no way we would be able to make it there very fast by running- DS pirate: is only 3 so by the time we got there, I'm sure there would be quite the line already.

Thanks for looking that up for me. Unfortunately, we don't get in until 1 or 2 on the Friday.

we were there about a month and happened to walk over while the 1st Fantasmic show was either about to start soon or had just started. The line was 20 minutes.

We've done it at night everytime so far. We get in line before closing and just wait it out. We've never had to wait any longer than 45 minutes to get on. :)

If you don't want to wait just ask the CM where the viewing room is, they will direct you to the right place. :)

We rode it the first week it opened by using a MM day. Got in line at the gates early, hurried over to Nemo, and were on the first sub out. That and from what I understand, late at night before closing is best.

Magic Mornings are Sat, Sun, Tues, and Thurs. :thumbsup2

Since you're staying at the PP, you should be eligible for MM every day that it's offered. :wizard:

I didn't read the other answers, but thought I's share as I have done both first thing in the morning (non MM) and later in the evening. Both times were in the off-season with minimal crowds.

Morning: We walked very fast to Nemo with every other person in the park. My friend and I were both pushing strollers, and I had my foot run over twice. Once my Converse actually came off! We grabbed the kids and entered into the front of the line, but to our dismay people were just jumping all the chains. SO many people were doing this and cutting those of us who entered the right way off, the CM's were getting angry and yelling that people had to enter from the beginning. Sad to say we waited 40 minutes despite being one of the first to the ride.

The other time we entered the line at 5pm and waited about 35 minutes. It was totally less stressful and much more pleasant.

If you have MM, I'd say do Nemo then, but if not, I'd say wait until the end of the day....

good luck and have an awesome time!

DD and I went on Friday afternoon/evening 3/14 to get a last trip before the black out times. She didn't get to go on it for her b-day weekend and was very disappointed and was adament that she wanted to go on it. I wasn't thinking it would be a real possibility. We were there right around fireworks time and it was 40 minutes. That was as short as we had seen it.
