Thank you Lynne and all others. We are on our way now to see the manager in person... I will keep you all posted.

Good luck!

You have probably already left, but I wanted to add that if the manager can't find a room, walk over to guest services. They seem to have the "power" to override the system and find rooms that even the cast members at the reservation number can't.

I agree with everyone who says be firm and insistent. Do not let them talk you into anything that you'll regret later. This is your vacation.

Good luck!!!

Are there cheerleaders at POP? If not, ask them to move you there. There is availability. If it's the whole value resort ambience you don't like, there are very limited options it looks like. I do see Yacht Club available for the week starting 2/13 (possibly even 2/12 but the computer won't let me try 2/12).

As others have said, go to the front desk, be nice but firm and expect to pay the price difference if you move to the Yacht Club.

And, going directly to guest services is also a good suggestion from another poster. I've noticed guest services often has the ability to make adjustments no one else can.

Good luck!

I'm so sorry. I posted last night about being at Movies and the Cheer groups were everywhere. I found out I was in a building that didn't have a cheer group but that didn't help since they were outside in the courtyard cheering and hanging out in the food court.

Personally before the groups got there we had no problem with the food court. We ate there a couple times.

Keep us updated and I hope everything goes well!

I had a similar experience at Coranado Springs with rowdy conevntion people a few weeks ago. Only the noise in my case was drunk adults partying in the middle of the night in the building I was initially in AND the building I was moved to.

Over the span of several hours, I was eventually moved to CBR where I was told I had to pay extra if I didn’t want a downgraded bed size from what I was paying for at CSR. And they put next to more loud, rowdy people. Althought the CBR people weren’t with a group. I stuck it out very unhappily at CBR because I was too exhausted to fight with them anymore.

I’ve been to WDW 31 times. My fiance had never been before. This was the first time I had ever experienced a resort problem. I wrote a letter when I got back explaining what happened and Disney did compensate me for my troubles. I appreciate the compensation and I think Disney sincerely cares about what happens. But, tbh, the compensation doesn’t change the fact that the last several nights of mine and my fiance’s first vacation together were spent listening to rowdy drunks and being uprooted in the middle of the night.

You can’t buy memories, and our last memories of being at WDW were very unpleasant. So I totally understand the situation you are in. I would demand (in person) to be moved now. Be polite about it but be stern. I was also told there were no rooms onsite when I asked to be allowed to just pay to upgrade to a deluxe. I called from my own phone later and that was not the case.

*hugs* Keep us posted.

Update... manager is busy and room will not be ready now until 5 p.m. Looking for guest services.

So wait are you looking for another area of All stars or a different resort. I just have a feeling it's going to be the same noisy level regardless where you are in all stars.....the cheerleaders can roam ya know ;):rotfl:

This is advice from another thread....

One poster reported calling the reservations line and complaining and that had a manager at their door in minutes.

I don't know if I'd recommend that.. but if all else fails - what do you have to lose?

The other thing you can ALWAYS do whenever you're unhappy with ANY aspect of Disney, is to stop at ANY Guest Relations desk in the parks or wherever. Calmly and rationally explain your situation and add that you haven't gotten satisfaction from the manager at the resort and you're completely fed up.

That usually gets other managers above the resort manager involved and resort managers are dinged when complaints go above their level.

BTDT, move resorts! If being in a resort with them bugs you moving with in the resort itself will not solve it. You will encounter them on the busses, food courts, pools everywhere! Its your vacation and its all in what you choose to make of it. Trust me, if they bug ya - move from them! The :cheer2::cheer2::cheer2: will be going on from now for a while, lots of comps going on through the end of the school year!

We dislike the Values too...I would try and get into a mod resort instead

Hope you manage to get this sorted - there is nothing worse than dreading what is to come when you are on vacation. As others have suggested if the immediate manager is not willing to be helpful try escalating above his head.

Yep, if it's the whole resort try to get moved. If it's just the food court, then just don't eat there. There are TONS of other restaurants at Disney World. We stay at values all the time. We "might" have breakfast at the food court once or twice a trip. The rest of the time we eat elsewhere.

we just got back and they told us to wait and see the room first. We are on a SWA package of air and room. We were not even given our park tickets yet. OH dear !!!!
