I am redecorating the kid's bathroom, and we would like to do a Mickey-head theme. I don't really like the ones on disneyshopping...has anyone seen any elsewhere? Or do you have an idea of how we can make our own?

I'm looking at doing the same thing. I have not found a Mickey curtain that I love. I think that I'm going to get a shower curtain I found that is red with white polka dots. The walls are painted a pale yellow, so I was going to get a black rug and a few Mickey accents. In my head, it works. I just have to actually buy the stuff and proceed. My dd is excited about it!

have you found a shower curtain like that anywhere? It sounds so cute!

Have you tried eBay? They always have lots of Mickey stuff on there.

Yep....tried ebay....they mostly have what is already on disneyshopping. I was thinking about getting a plain white shower curtain and stensiling the mickey heads onto it in the same color as the walls (a pale blue). They have this one...

on sale right now, and it has the pale blue in it, but I don't really like the whole side profile Mickey. My way of thinking is, unless you are a Disney fan, you aren't going to know what that is :rotfl: My daughter likes it though, so it may be my back up plan.

Edit---nevermind....they sold out already....any more ideas?

Maggie-

I looked at both of those, I like them both, but they aren't exactly what I was going for I guess. I'd like the best of Mickey one better if it didn't have the gloves on there, they are just kida creepy to me (i'm weird I guess) :rotfl:

I like the spa Mickey one, even though its not exactly what I want. How do you have your kids bathroom decorated to go with the shower curtain? What colors did you use? Any pics?

have you found a red and yellow polka dot one anywhere? If so, where? I think that sounds cute in and of itself!

I found the red curtain with white polka dots on eBay. It is originally from Pottery Barn Teens, but I can't find it on their site anymore.

I do like the Best of Mickey curtain, too ,though. I personally want a subtle Mickey bathroom instead of looking like a Mickey shrine! :rotfl2: Not that there's anything wrong with Mickey shrines, but it's just not me or my house.

My kitchen is like a shrine! We just brought the colors over to the living room! not to much mickey stuff, butlots of res, and yellow stuff!

Just finished my Mickey Bathroom this weekend.:cool1:
I bought the Best of Mickey shower curtain and accessories after looking and looking and never really finding what I wanted.

I painted the bathroom sherman williams neon lights which is a very bright yellow and order the classic mickey wallpaper border off of ebay which is red, black, and that same bright yellow.. Red/black towels and black rugs.

Put some Disney Lithographs in Black Frame and then a Big cutout Frame with all different pictures of the family at Disney.

I will have to get a picture because I think it looks awesome and kids love it!!!

What is up with the price of these shower curtains!

I plan on making my son a cowboy mickey one for his bathroom. Mine had the urban mickey from disney shopping a few years back. Before that I had a mickey one with like a filmstrip border (from target years ago) and I also have another really cute one I got off ebay years ago. I have never even opened it! I just loved it!

When I was a kid we had one where mickey was taking a bath. I loved it! I wish I could find it now.

If anyone knows where I can find a Mediterranean Mickey one from disney shopping a while back please let me know! I have been wanting one of these for years!

Would love to see pictures of the finished result!

I ended up doing my 2nd bathroom in Mickey last fall. I ended up getting a shower curtain with the "Many Faces of Mickey" It is white with the Mickeys in the middle and red checks on the top and bottom of the shower curtain.

If any of you DISers are interested...when I was looking for some art/pictures to hang in this bathroom, I found this fellow from Florida on Ebay. While talking to him via email, I found out he used to be an artist for Disney....long, long ago. Well, he does these really cute "bathroom" art, I guess that's what you'd call them. Check him out, (dolle-half is his seller name) he has Mickey & Minnie's in the bathroom stalls! Too funny! (I just checked and he does have some up for auction now.)

Gotta love that Mouse!

If you want nice but inexpensive pictures to put up, you can buy a calendar. Then, buy the frames a little bigger than the pictures(we got ours for $3 each at Walmart) and mats to match. Use the pictures from the calendar and it will look almost like lithographs. We did this with dragons and my sister did it with Thomas. Some lady bought her Thomas ones for like $200 on ebay and yes, she knew they were not original lithographs. They just looked that good.

for a shower curtain you can buy material maybe even just make a mickey valance on top of a bright red or yellow material for shower curtain if you don't sew use no sew glue or hem tape make a matching window cutain too from same material anither idea instead of pitures put a mickey wall clock

In the kids' bathroom, I have the Spa Mickey shower curtain and the towel set. Then I just have plain black trash can and toothbrush holder from Bed, Bath and Beyond. The walls are painted gray. It was a hard decision about the walls. I was thinking of doing them pink to coordinate with the red Mickey pants, but I couldn't get anything to look right. So, the towel set has a gray stripe across the bottom, so I coordinated with that.

On the walls I have a frame with a picture of us at each WDW park (by the icon of the park). The other wall has a litho of Mickey.

Wow! thanks for all of the ideas...I am off to look for Mickey fabric! I like the idea of framing park pics and hanging them. Maybe I can use my coke rewards and get a poster size print from Kodak and have it framed.

Thought I would post some pictures of our bathroom. We get compliments on it all the time. It's not our main bathroom, but we use it for the kids. I love it...hopefully it will give you some good ideas. We did it about 3 years ago, and got most of the stuff down at the Disney Home Store when it was still open...
