Help! Is it worth missing Spectro to get a Wishes cruise?

I need some fast advice, as I have only 3 hours to change the reservation I made! Okay, I managed to get a Wishes cruise for tomorrow night -- WOOHOO!! The only thing is, it means I'll be missing Spectro, and since all our other nights are filled with IllumiNations, Fantasmic! and a special night at California Grill, we have no other night to see Spectro. I'm torn, because I LOOOVE parades and I was SO looking forward to Spectro and I heard you shouldn't leave WDW without seeing it. But I also know how special the Wishes cruise would be, and not having to fight the crowds would make it all the sweeter! What do you veterans recommend? Thank you soo much!!

IMO it is not worth it. I took the Pirates Grand Gathering cruise and although it was very nice, I personnally would prefer to see Wishes from inside the MK. Adding the fact that you really want to see Spectro, I would go see it. It really is beautiful. Just make sure you get there early enough to get a curbside seat. It gets really crowded and is hard for little ones to see.

I second MinnieBowser's thoughts. We took a wishes cruise with just our extended family of 12 on it. The family being together and getting a boat tour of the area before Wishes began was the best part, but the actual watching of Wishes was only okay. Even in the park, I prefer Spectromagic to Wishes. If you've never seen Spectromagic, I would strongly suggest seeing it and watching Wishes from the park.

Definitely not worth missing. It is must see for sure, I think you are going to get a great experience with watching Wishes from anywhere, the feeling doesn't change, you still enjoy the show!

I have to agree with everyone else....We did this last time...missed Spectro bc of the Peter Pan Grand Voyage cruise (or something like that) We had a blast at the party/cruise....BUT I was so sorry we missed Spectro! We went in October so with MNSSHP we didnt have another chance...

imo, I wouldn't miss Spectro for anything ever again

I agree that it's not worth missing Spectro - especially if you are a parade person. The cruise was nice but I prefer watching Wishes from Main St.

Yup ! I agree with everyone else. Spectro is so super magical, and by staying in the park, you will be able to do both of them.

It is possible to do both! We booked a Wishes Cruise, and had the captain drop us at the MK instead at the marina we left from.
We got there in plenty of time to get a space on Main St. for Spectro.

That was in the spring, and I'm not sure if schedules have changed, or if crowd levels won't permit it, but for us it worked out.

I 100% agree... I think inside is best, unless you get another night to see Wishes from inside I would skip the cruise.
Just a note: we like to watch Spectro after Wishes, it's much less crowded, (but sometimes we watch it both times)!

Thanks so much, you guys!! We ended up doing the Wishes cruise, and we loved it so much that we did an IllumiNations cruise too a couple days later! But we DID end up seeing Spectro twice!! We managed to get back to MK after our dinner at CA Grill one night, and after Fantasmic! another night for the 11:00 performances. LOVED IT!!!! We also saw Wishes from the CA Grill viewing patio and from inside the park. Loved all the different views!
