Hi all ... I am hoping that some of the "well-traveled" Disney-ers will have some info to help me. We are planning a trip March 17 - 20th w/ Grandma, Grandpa (both can get around well and are FL residents), myself and husband, 6 year old and 2 year old. Definitely Want to see Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom. Trying to decide on the best lodging options for us as a family. Have spent hours researching, looking into DVC rentals, etc., and am now TOTALLY overwhelmed. The 2 year old still loves his naps, so convenince helps ... would love accomodations w/ some type of "mini kitchen" just for snack convenience if nothing else. Any tips/ideas?? All are appreciated!! Thanks so much!!!

Well, since you have a 2 year old, and are likely to spend a lot of time at the Magic Kingdom, Villas Wilderness Lodge would be a good choice, since it is a quick boat ride away from the MK, and you could have either a studio or 1 bedroom with a partial kitchen (studio) or full kitchen (1 bedroom). OOPS, I guess I am assuming that grandma and grandpa would not be staying with you, but if they are, you would need a 2 bedroom.

Now the problem is, you are talking about THIS March???? If so, you are probably WAY too late to rent points for that stay. Many DVC members make their DVC reservations 11 months ahead of a trip, and VWL is the smallest DVC resort, so likely has little or no availability at this late date.

With Grandma, Grandpa being Fl residents, don't overlook the nice Fl resident discounts that are available. You might end up spending less than renting points.

Good luck and have a great trip.
